Creepy spider

I don't like spiders very much. I used to be very afraid of them, but I have "trained" myself into tolerating them (from a safe distance). This fellow actually seemed quite interesting (still from a safe distance, mind you) I even watched as it caught a fly and attacked it. (Brave me

) Does anyone know what it is called, btw?

Ewwwww...I am not huge on spiders. I hate them. My sister however has a serious phobia of them and would possibly pass out if she saw one of those babies in her yard.
I remember in Holland they had those big fat ones all over the place. It was 6 years ago in September since I have been there...but they are probably the same species.

please dont underestimate the spider by calling it a 'garden spider'!

ewwwwww~~~I'm sooo scared of spiders!several days ago I found one in my room,it was lying under my bed...I stood on a chair and jumped on my bed at once,lol:)nice to meet ya,u r the first person I meet here!BTW,I'm that newbie who asked a silly question and u kindly answered:)
