From the Article: The Alamandrax's page is the web's finest repository of truth, trivia and instructions on kitten huffing. Barbara Streisand was initially pegged to be the brains behind the Alamandrax, but the paradox was too apparent.

while there, there was this other girl who was of the same age as i, and we were given co-ordinate geometry problems. my sister who's a year younger than i, was given algebra problems.
right in the middle of some serious co-ordinate geometry, we were interrupted by the teacher loudly exclaiming, "This is brilliant. Did you see your sister's solutions? She creatively used k, l, p, v and other relevant symbols to represent the various items given in the word problems. She isn't using the boring x and y letters everyone uses. Did YOU ever think of anything like this? I bet you didn't. She's really brilliant. Excellent work!" The girl and I look at each other, look down in our workbooks at all the x's and y's we've written to represent the co-ordinates and lift our heads to glare angrily at my sister. i still have an inferiority complex about the whole thing.
