games, life, me
Addicted to the gameplay, feel and atmosphere of the Emperor's Tomb which I've been able to enter only today, to be impaled immediately in the first trap. Blah.

Goes from action to freaky action before you know it. Excellent, excellent game. More Tomb Raider-ish than you know, but infinitely more fun - you get to beat up a ton of Nazis. Tell me that isn't appealing.
In related news, if you're interested, Ubisoft's giving the Prince of Persia series of games away
dirt cheap. Get yourself a copy and email me the other copy. You are going to buy it aren't you? Please, pretty please?

Finally got my hands on one of the few books I haven't read in the series.

I'm still yet to read the entire "
Empire series". Getting there.

games
If you were living in a hole for the last couple of months and haven't gotten your daily dose of Ritalin, you most probably haven't heard of Spore. The Google video cast of the preview was ages ago.
I expected the game to be out sometime in the middle of fall 2006. June 2007?! That's ages away. Groan!

music, games, love-fest
in our headlights , staring, bleak, beer cans, deer's eyes
on the asphalt underneath, our crushed plans and my lies
lonely street signs, powerlines, they keep on flashing, flashing by
and we keep driving into the night
it's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye
and we keep driving into the night
it's a late goodbye
your breath hot upon my cheek, and we crossed, that line
you made me strong when I was feeling weak, and we crossed, that one time
screaming stop signs, staring wild eyes, keep on flashing, flashing by
and we keep driving into the night
it's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye
and we keep driving into the night
it's a late goodbye
the devil grins from ear to ear when he sees the hand he's dealt us
points at your flaming hair, and then we're playing hide and seek
I can't breathe easy here, 'less our trail's gone cold behind us
'til in the john mirror you stare at yourself grown old and weak
and we keep driving into the night
it's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye...

Friends, Fun, games, life
...
It's been a wonderful 24 hours worth of merriment - in the end, all I can say is that I'm happy. It all started with the Graduation celebration party, with a disclaimer from General Tommy Franks - he apparently does not understand why people associate him with George W. He said that Bill Clinton was his president and the man who gave him his job. He took some parting shots at Bush - but didn't give an opinion about Iraq - only about how he doesn't regret the decisions he had to make in the execution of his job. Somewhere in there he gave us the usual stuff about how we need to look to the future and that we're in interesting times.
Then we had fireworks. We took some photos. It was fun.
Cue next day - off in the morning to the graduation ceremony - wear gown, walk walk walk, take pictures, walk walk walk, speeches, take certificates or acknowledgements, walk walk walk. Yay! Graduated!
Had a wonderful time with my uncle and aunt who came over from California and the uncle and aunt who live here in Dallas. We had a long conversation
on(what was I on last night?) about my future - made me think in any case - which is very hard to do - but I'm getting there. We went to lunch and lake arlington, and headed back to campus.
A group of colleagues and their friends then headed over to six flags for a near-death-experience-extravaganza.
Rides we go onto:
- Batman the ride
- Mr. Freeze
- Superman - Tower of power
- The Texas Titan
I'm still groggy from the experience 6 hours later. Photos and other stuff later. I need sleep.
