Meiko - How Lucky We Are

One day
We'll get out of this shitty apartment
One day
Is all it takes for things to turn around now
All I know
Is I got you and you got me babe
And when that morning comes I'll make coffee and you'll read the paper
We'll talk about our plans and I'll keep saying how lucky we are

One day
We'll get in the car and drive anywhere we wanna go
And then we'll stay in a five star mini bar luxury hotel room
'cause all I know is I got you and you got me babe
And when that morning comes I'll make coffee and you'll read the paper
We'll talk about our plans and I'll keep saying how lucky we are
How lucky we are
Oh oh ohh
How lucky we are
Oh oh ohh
How lucky we are
Oh oh ohh
How lucky we are

Ooh ooh oh
Ooh ooh oh
Ooh ooh oh
Ooh ooh oh

One day
We'll turn on the tv and won't see nothing 'bout war
And when that morning comes I'll make coffee and you'll read the paper
We'll talk about our plans and I'll keep saying how lucky we are

How lucky, how lucky, how lucky we are
Oh
How lucky, how lucky, how lucky we are
Oh
How lucky, how lucky, how lucky we are
Oh
How lucky, how lucky, how lucky we are

How the Zune could be better and other zuny antics

, ,

Have you seen the reviews for the Zune player and the tech specs?

Their most prominent feature (apart from the s*** colored player) is apparently the ability to share music by transferring it from player to player wirelessly. That's all fine and good. Restrict the number of plays to 3 times and flagging a song to buy it from the zune website. Sure. Why not?

Why didn't they just take the next step? Make it like the way iTunes playlist sharing works over a network? If the Zune user wants to, s/he can share the contents of the playlist over a short area network. If the people picking up the shared playlist like a song, they can play it (or a sample). It'd be your own personal little broadcasting station for all the Zune players in the area. More incentive for people to buy the damned things. That's how the GBAs work. That's how the PSPs work. Duh! Etc.

And oh!, before I forget, this will be one of very few and sporadic posts on this page. I'll be interacting with the new and improved MyOpera interface whenever I want to, in a digest edition. Just letting ya know in case you cared. If you didn't well tough titties.

Well, Jon Stewart's blown any chances of his becoming a future president of the USA as a Republican candidate. You've gotta be able to pitch properly. You might even say he threw the opportunity into the ground (well, to be accurate, he only managed to toss it in the general direction of the ground). Shrug. Oh well. Nothing to be done about it. He knows he blew it.

Always loved qawwalis. This one's one of the funny ones.

Weird Shit

Remember this?
Apple went ahead and put those together, so call off the horses.

Looks good so far, could use some improvements, but pretty sure with user feedback, they'll fix them soon.

My favorite picture of the day:Although, google talk's really pissing me off. The song display in the status doesn't update properly, and if I happen to close iTunes while google talk's open, it reopens iTunes. Automatically. Rage.

A very big memory hog though - big change - the installer looks more like it was developed in Redmond. Acts like it too. Asks for a restart. Horrors. And those stupid processes. Just went to msconfig and got rid of them all. Bloody insufferable.

Besides, they're not fooling anyone with the album view. They got that straight off of Windows Media Player 10. Well, Media Player 10 released it first anyway.

A thought! Hey there winamp! How you doin'?

Other thoughts and screaming fits: iTunes keeps installing shortcuts in the programs menu and on the desktop and in the quick-launch toolbar every time I delete them. I had to go to the All Programs folder and Hide the iTunes and Quicktime folders to have some semblance of control over my start menu. What the hell is going on?

Further, iTunes won't open over Remote Desktop. Just because I probably left the Library in Coverflow view when I closed it. I come back on campus, go to my PC and boom, no iTunes. Error. The fudge Jobs? What'd you do?And my favorite button of them all, the Equalizer. They removed it. There isn't even a shortcut to it. You've got to go to the menu now. The automatic sound check reduces the volume on the songs. The three new views ought to have keyboard shortcuts. Fix iT!

I don't care about Kanye West

My GOD! If I wanted a potty-mouthed poorly dressed jackass spouting verbal (not even to music...actual music for Gods sake!), then I might ask my 3 year old nephew to sing or bang on a drum! At least he is cute, and his mommy dresses him well at least part of the day.

Hear Hear! Bravo! Give that person a Mod up. I couldn't have said it any better. Although, I seem to love the Ying Yang Twins' and Snoop Dogg's songs. Their's actually sounds like music.

Hell, when Snoop God... oops Dogg's song plays over the radio, me with my rhythm-impaired bulk attempts to think about actually busting a move. Shudder

Speaking of rap, did you catch the rapping granny on "America's Got Talent"? Stop throwing those rotten tomatoes already, I was just flipping channels... and stayed on this one for two whole hours. This lady was actually good to watch and hear. Not in a Timmy 2000 kind of way. Like actually good. Watch it yourself. This is from the first episode in which she came on. I watched the second one. I cringed thinking that this was going to leave a scar. Damned if she wasn't good. Alright, alright. Just watch it.

They had to come out with this so late didn't they. I'm not even sure if it's available in the USA. The SD card slot is the best thing that's happened ever.

Yet, the Boxster is still a dream dongle. It's very sanely priced of course, but that doesn't mean I want to think about whether I can afford it. Compulsive shopper and everything. The shuffle clone's priced at $26 and the Boxster (1GB) is at $129. Deals on it at Deals2Buy.com. Check 'em out.
