This extension adds new smileys to My Opera blogs/forums "Insert Smileys" panel. And you can decide, which ones!
Have you ever wanted to add new smileys to the standard "Insert Smileys" panel in My Opera? This extension does exactly this!
Description
- Smileys are added as [img] tags, so they will be visible to anyone, not just you.
- The list of smileys can be managed in Preferences.
- Initially several "I love Opera" smileys by Ivan Minic are added.
How to add new smileys
- Go to any smiley-related site
- Find the smiley that you want to add
- RIGHT-click it and select "Copy Image Address" from the popup menu
- Open the My Opera Custom Smileys options page
- Paste the image URL into the top textarea
- If you did everything right -- the smiley will appear in the "Preview" area below

- Empty lines in the beginning/at the end cause erroneous empty smileys.
Future plans
- Fix all known issues
- Add an option to add an to this page under each inserted smiley (to support virus spread).
- Add an (optional) "config" smiley-button for opening the options page
- Upload it to addons.opera.com, if it worth it
