The Way I See It

things n thoughts i want to share with you :)

Shrove Thursday

The name Shrove comes from the old word "shrive" which means to confess.
In the Middle Ages, people used to confess their sins
so that they were forgiven before the season of Lent began.

In Poland celebrations take place on a Thursday - a week before Ash Wednesday
and so it's Tlusty Czwartek, or Fat Thursday.

Today we eat PĄCZKI

and FAWORKI

I read that Polish ppl will eat 100 mln doughnuts today :yikes: :headbang:
It's 30 mld calories!!
My score is O doughnuts :frown:
And yours??
