About a month ago I preordered an ASUS Eee from
ps.no, where they said it was confirmed to arrive at their storage location July 21st. However, ten days ago, vg.no posted
this article, stating that the Eee was delayed until August. Of course, I got suspicios and looked back on the
Eee's product page at
ps.no. Yep, it did still says July 21st, and I did not think about it much.
However, today I figured that I'd try to ask
ps.no about this contradiction. I got an answer really fast (like < 2 minutes after I had sent the first e-mail), stating that the consultant could only confirm that the shipment of laptops had its delivery date July 21st. I settled for this, and thanked for the consultants help.
But I was still suspicious, and sent an e-mail to the author of the
article at
vg.no. He too had obviously not much to do, and he said that he had acquired the information from ASUS, and that they had told him that it would arrive the first week of August.
We now have two different statements, making quite a difference between when I would get my laptop. I saw at Komplett.no that they too were expecting it in July, although 10 days after - July 31st, which could seem to support the journalist's first statement. I forwarded the mail to the consultant from
ps.no, and hopefully I'll be able to get a clear answer out of him sooner or later.
I want my Eee before I go on vacation at August 4th.
Edit, June 12th: I've gotten an answer from
ps.no, and they have asked their sales manager, but he had not heard anything but July 21st as the delivery date. Either Asus have mislead
vg.no or
ps.no. I hope for the first.
