Thanks to Tamil, whom encouraged me to use the CSS to fix the disclaimer instead of a sticky post! The disclaimer is now back up again using .blogfront #firstpost:before { /* CSS here */ } :-)

Since I don’t have internet onboard the train, I can just as well write a blog entry in my text editor and post it later on.

I am enroute to Skien where I’ll meet up with Anniken, and together we’ll sign under the contract for the loan for our new apartment.

This week has gone incredibly fast, eventhough Anniken has been away. It has mostly been due to me working late all nights. It’s great fun at work, and I am looking forward to continuing the work.
The weather has been incredibly warm. At least to be in Oslo. Last night, after watching the CNN News broadcast about Michael Jackson’s passing, the temperature was still way beyond 21 degrees centigrade – at 0200 hours! To find it in Fahrenheit, simply take F = (9/5)C + 32, where F is degrees in Fahrenheit and C is degrees in Celsius. In this case, the answer is 70 degrees Fahrenheit. To convert the other way, simply perform: C = (F – 32) * (5/9).

It will be awesome to have Anniken back. It’s been very quite since she’s gone. Except for the news broadcast I watched yesterday, there has been little noise, except from the occasional guitar I have played.

Last weekend we started watching more Battlestar Galactica, something we hadn’t done for a long time. This was mainly due to us focusing on completing Star Trek: Deep Space Nine before advancing to another sci-fi series. So far, I really like Battlestar Galactica. It is so professionaly filmed, that I often think that I am watching a movie. It is quality.

There were some happy gaming news earlier this week as well. Aion: The Tower of Eternity will be shipping September 22 in North America and September 25 in Europe. Why we get it three days later, I don’t know. But I don’t care. It ships before I thought it would, and that kicks arse.
The weather is incredible. It is truly amazing to sit here on the train, watching the nice weather and everything that passes by. We’ll be driving home to Oslo later tonight, so I hope the temperature chills down. I hate driving in meltingly hot cars.

Anyways, I have to change trains soon, so I think I’ll wrap it up here. Have a nice Friday!

I have made a new layout. It's darker, more slick and has more shadows. The header is a bit temporary and I will probably add stuff to it later. Most of the blog content should be looking a bit like it should, but there are several bugs:
- Albums, Links, Friends and About does not work as inteneded... at all.
- View blog entry contains a bug with the ending of the fade.
- View blog entry contains a bug with the fade at top. Apparently, the fade is too long.

I've redesigned my blog. Somewhat twice. Depending on when you are reading this, you will be seeing three different designs. One design runs from 0400 to 1200. Another runs from 1200 to 2000. The last runs from 2000 to 0400. All in CET. Good luck spotting all.

Oh, and by the way - more will come. Probably, the "morning" design will be totally revamped. But not tonight.

I originally said that this design was only for December, but since I do not have another one completed at this time, I fear that I'll have to wait until after January 5th to redesign it.

This brings me to several points about how the new design will be, and hopefully I'll get some reactions to this and thoughts before I, eventually, implement them.

- I do not want to have the sidebar floating to the right. It breaks the design in Internet Explorer (for a change...) and it looks generally bad in resolutions with less than 1024 pixels in width.

- White. That's the background colour of the blog's content. The text colour will be black.

- I aim for about 800-900 pixels in width. Perhaps even 1000 pixels, with about 200 pixels for the sidebar.

- The form of the site will be much like http://www.ipwn.se (I really like that general layout)

- The font size will probably be 1 to 2 pixels larger (up from 11px), while the font family probably will continue to be Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif.

- The header will perhaps be... spaced out? I am not certain, I haven't given it much thought. Hopefully it'll be no taller than 200 pixels.

- Transparency? I don't think so. Perhaps.

- Much more structured CSS! All elements first, identifiers (#) second and lastly all the classes, not like the mess I am currently having.

- Better tags? Sure, I'll come up with something.

Any other suggestions? :-)
