On the 8th and 9th october there was the Troféu Coruche.
A long distance course in the first day and a middle distance one for the second day.
I was much more calm than in my last comp, however i was kind of afraid of not being able to finish the long course as i´m not used to that kind of distances and because of my awfull result last comp.
The week before this comp i had been reading this articles about nerves and anxiety before competitions... and in the end, before going to the forest i realised the thoughs in two lines to keep in mind: focus the processand my own joy. I mean, i don´t have to focus on the result or in going as fast as i can but in the process of navigate the best i can. Also i have to remember every second that i´m orienteering, running and competing because i love it... for my own joy!!!
Hummm... after all of these i managed to finish the long course, to navigate well (in the first day
)and to get the 6th place overall... I´m happy and working to be better every day.
