Pertamina as one of the largest SOEs in Indonesia has become the public spotlight for a long time.
Pertamina’s performance following question mentioned disadvantages of the oil companies.
What’s wrong with Pertamina?.
Long ago when I was little many people aspire to be employees of Pertamina, big salary job easier.
Then when I entered the workforce in the world could plunge the oil.
God’s destiny over my work in the Foreign Service Oil companies, Schlumberger until September 2009 this (then I went out with a reason to continue the extension ladder S1).
There are many lessons that I took, especially when working with other Indonesian National companies.
Once upon a time my friend told me that when she KP (practical work) in one business unit of Pertamina in Indramayu he joked “Well good job in Pertamina, pay millions of job playing computer games”.
Then a lot of talk that comes from matching some of my colleagues assess Pertamina.
Some of the stories my friends are mainly derived from Pertamina’s business units in the production / distribution.
Well if I had a story in the exploration.
It was around November 2007 when I was given the job coincided in the Cepu field.
The client is a Mobil Cepu and Pertamina.
I went to the beginning of Mobil Cepu, see the rig (read: oil wells) which claimed the largest in Indonesia.
My impression is there that the company actually regularly with a high level of discipline where as if every second was valuable.
Then next is to visit Pertamina, such as the inverted condition was 180 degrees the other’s.
* Complex rig that is used not "dipagar" the meeting so that security is not guaranteed.
* Structuring devices that do not neatly so that the work is not efficient.
* Attention to the lack of work safety. Workplace safety standards as only black and white.
* Appreciation of the lack of time, work was slow home safely.
* Excessive tolerance that creates performance was not optimal.
I had time to reflect and think ‘Whose fault is this?’.
And if I try to find the answer is ‘Not at Pertamina, but to us, people of Indonesia’.
While many organizations / parties bragging ‘Do not sell our oil wells to foreign countries’.
So would I say ‘who is able to ensure maximum production (not corrupted by the people of Indonesia)’
The purpose here is not corrupted by unscrupulous means only regular-fill is "dikambing-hitamkan" officials but also by who is at the bottom though.
* Porters of corruption drilling time
* Use of the materials used (refurbish) on the equipment when the budget for new items
* The selection of strong nepotism contractors
* And still many others
Time passed, and thank God I saw no improvement efforts.
Hard Work is the motto of Energy We are right because to achieve success takes hard work rather than play games.
