Macedonian origin of the Aristotle

Aristotle was born at Stagira,on the Macedonian peninsula of Chalcidice in 384 BC.
His father,a Macedonian named Nicomachus, was court physician to King Amyntas III of Macedon.
It is believed that Aristotle's ancestors held this position under various kings of Macedonia.
As such, Aristotle's early education would probably have consisted of instruction in medicine and biology from his father.
About his mother, Phaestis, little is known.
It is known that she died early in Aristotle's life.
When Nicomachus also died, in Aristotle's tenth year, he was left an orphan and placed under the guardianship of his uncle, Proxenus of Atarneus.
Most of his writings are lost. What remains are his lecture notes, which were rediscovered in the first century BCE. During the last decades, scholars have started to re-examine the fragments of the lost works, which has led to important changes in our understanding of Aristotle's philosophy. However, the accepted view remains that he replaced his master's speculations with a more down-to-earth philosophy.

You seem to be assuming that Macedonians were not Greek because they called themselves "Macedon". By this logic Athenians or Spartans were not Greek either. So Plato was not Greek right?
