For the "greeks", Georgia tells us that they are called the name Gorci (gora-forest), and the turks called them Karakachans.
“But Greeks don`t have a specific name as a tribe, but they call each other Urumi (romans ?) but according to history we know "greeks" as Egyptians and not Europeans”.

But,what does the word Urumi really mean?

Modern Yunanistans belive that word URUMI means ROMANS.
They are wrong.

Tsalka Urums

They are sometimes referred to as the Trialeti Greeks or the Transcaucasian Turcophone Greeks. Pontian Greeks call them Τσαλκαλιδείς (Tsalkalideis); a name that refers to the Georgian town, where Urums once made up the largest ethnic community.

From the 18th to the early 20th century the Caucasus experienced mass migrations of Greeks from the Ottoman Empire.....

explanation of modern URUMS about the origin of their last names
My last name means west in Turkish but hellenized (of course)
The history behind my last name is -
During the Ottoman occupation of Greece my Great x7 or 8 Grandpa (there were no last names in this period) and his brother, both from Pygros, were going around secretly killing Turks, taking their weapons, money, etc...
The Turks caught on and went around to try and find my Grandpa and his brother so they changed their name from Stassias or Stassinopolis (I forget, got to ask my Dad) to what it is today- West in Turkish......

Up here in northern Greece the refugees from Asia Minor, those we call Tourkophone, had names that ended in -oglou. These were changed when they came here. -opoulos was substituated for -oglou.

That is why all kinds of Christians in Crimea were called simply Urums, Jews - Krymchaks, Karaits – Karaims,...17 cent..

The first Constitution of Greece

The 1st Constitution of the Greek State, in the year 1827.

NOTE: To become a Greek, it was enough to be a Christian!

This document proves that Greeks have a very short memory. They do not remember how the Greek State was made and also who the modern Greeks are.
Why should we Macedonians have to prove that we are Macedonians since antiquity when the Greeks do not have to prove anything for being Greeks.
The fact is that about 180 years ago anybody who was a Christian in the Greek State became a Greek automatically, why does that not bother the modern Greeks?
You see, if someone was a Jew or a Muslim or a Catholic, he/she was excluded immediately. Let us now ask ourselves what is Greek racism and were did it come from?
Just read the above document and you will know why, Greek is a manufactured ethnicity.

Georgija in his Book "Dictionary of Three Languages" devoted part of it to Macedonia and how the Macedonians see it. He wrote the book in form of Questions and Answears.

To the question:What do we call a nation? (p.48)
Pulevski answers:People who are of the same origin and who speak the same words and who live and make friends of each other, who have the same customs and songs and entertainment are what we call a nation, and the place where that people lives is called the people's country. Thus the Macedonians also are a nation and the place which is theirs is called Macedonia (p.49).
