Wandering by mistake

Voice comes back to Opera

, , , ,

After a not so short break, voice functions seem to work again in Opera for Windows. Latest version tested: Opera 10.60 RC1 (build 3443).

Finally… cheers

No to może wreszcie wypróbuję. W czasach jak komendy głosowe działały, to nie mogłem, bo siedziałem na Win98. Jak się przesiadłem na XP, to chyba już nie działały. p

Really good news but no one say anything about it officially.Anyway, thanks smile It works with RC2 build as well.

Well, it's not a cutting-edge feature after all. It's Windows only, based on an old technology, offering poor "high quality" speech synthesis (far from being natural). But if it's still part of Opera than it should work. smile

I would say that current Voice implementation could be compared to the old style Opera 9 spell-check (based on Aspell and working like MS Word 2.0 spell-checker). I do hope that some day Opera will implement something more up-to-date and really hot. smile
