I was wrong…

Well, I was definitely wrong when saying, that my family was complete. Today I became a father of one more little girl - Pola.

But now my family is really complete.

Goodbye, Last.fm

,

Last.fm becomes a paid service in Poland soon. Fortunately I'm not addicted to it - I've usually used it to listen to the music I already had on my CDs. So, goodbye, Last.fm. rip

Google Chrome is better than Opera?

, , , ...

Well, Chrome is definitely better for my daughter than Opera. Instead of wasting my time by customizing Opera to make it simple and pleasing for a four and a half years old child, I've just installed Chrome on her Windows account. No customization was needed - I've just added some bookmarks to her favorite sites, such as games for kindergarten pupils, YouTube videos, etc.

I wonder when (if ever) she decides to click the red O, which is also located on her desktop (yes, she knows it's Opera).

NetCrunch

Promoting a product of the company I work for? Why not… :chef:

If you need a network monitoring and management software, try the first public beta of AdRem NetCrunch 5 (you will have to register and log-in to download a 30-day evaluation copy). NetCrunch 5 offers agentless monitoring of Linux, Windows, Novell OES/NetWare and SNMP devices. And prepare your company to spend some thousands of dollars if you find NetCrunch useful. And I think you will.

Opera gets more users in Poland?

, , ,

Well, maybe Opera gets more users in Poland, but this is natural, since there are more and more people using Internet here (as in any other part of the world). But when it comes to the market share, Opera is still not able to cross the (magic?) level of 6.0% (Dec 18 - Dec 24, 2007) of the Polish Internet users.

Take a look at this image, where Opera gains nothing within the last 4 months:

The image is a part of Central Europe marketshare situation - short analysis (part 1 / Poland) written by Zbigniew Braniecki AKA gandalf.

I wish Opera more luck in this new year. May 2008 be a year when the Opera Browser finds its way to more desktop computers in the whole world. wine

Most of you probably already know that the internal builds of IE 8 engine pass the Acid2 test. I really enjoyed this interview with Dean Hachamovitch, Chris Wilson, Alex Mogilevsky and Markus Mielke (found here).

Get a beer, relax and watch (30+ minutes).
