Australia thrashes England
The much anticipated ashes test at the Gabba ended with a victory for the hosts. Australia won the match by 381 runs. This is a great win for the Australians after a string of some poor performances throughout the year.Credit should be given to all players as each of them put a valuable effort to the victory. Mitchelle Johnson proved why the game has missed him so much in the kast few years he has been dropped. The pace master took 9 wickets in the game and contributed valuably with the bat. Who can forget his effort with the bat on the 1st day scoring a good half century and supporting Brad Haddin who fell short of a deserved century on the 2nd day. Again it was Johnson's name making headlines with the ball as he took 4 wickets in the 1st innings and ripped through the English batting line up taking 5 wickets in the 2nd innings to help his team to an ashes test victory of the series. Next up is Adelaide on 4 December and the question is, will England regroup and turn the tables in this series and will Australia continue with this spirit of destroying the visitors.
