Happy Birthday Hubby........

I have kissed him since he was 24.

At 24 there was no stopping him,

as nearly all men at that age.

But now, at 37, his nights up

with friends have shortened…

he’ll even steal a nap sometimes,

when the sun is still exposed.

Once too tough to dance with me,

He’ll now put his arms around

me and dance, slowly and gently.

My head resting on his shoulder….

He is man enough to chef for

his family (when the urge strikes)

And he is man enough to speak,

“I’m sorry,” and “I love you.”

(and it sounds so truthful)

I have loved him for only

12 years of his existence…..

He has seen me at my worse,

and I guess my finest so far….

His well-built athletic legs are

the sexiest things I have ever known!

Something about his strut turns me on.

I don’t mind when he hugs me firmly.

I am not in love with a fantasy,

He is the real thing!

Missing him when he is gone,

I long for him to return safely.

Keeping our love democratic

will assure our togetherness.

Once, being afraid of love was

being afraid of the unknown and

that does not exist any longer to me.

What have I learned in this love?

Do not change what is already complete.

Hi everyone, we had a great evening celebrating his birthday. He was pretty quiet, so I am not sure what he was thinking about getting another year older. I am on the same thought process, turning 31 in 3 days. I don't 'feel' 31 (whatever that feels like) so anyway, just wanted to say, Thanks to all for the sweet and heartfelt greeting. Love you!
