My Opera is closing 3rd of March

everyday life of a stay at home mom/artist

Just me thinkin'

, , ,

I changed my layout because well,
#1. My new header would not work
#2. I am really bored and always changing it anyway.

I have to warn you guys, never get used to one of my pages, because I will rock your world and flip it up! Word? (that means, do you understand in ebonics)

Ok, on to better things. For the past few days I have felt uninspired to write, but this is my ADDICTION, mi corazon, mi vida! So how can I stay away? I was writing in a paper journal and creating new poems for my site. The only problem I have is making myself put them on the computer and then uploading them to the site, it is not difficult to upload them.... the typing part is what bothers me.

You guys are not going to believe this! I am watching TV while writing this on the laptop, I am not kidding! Geez, talk about muti-tasking.... I heard somewhere that there is no such thing as a good multitaker for the simple fact that,

#1. You are not concentrating on what you are doing,
#2. Have a multi-tasking mind, is well....having a mulit-tasking mind. And that can't be a good thing, right? GWAD I am bored right now. All the work is done and I have NO FRIENDS online..... ummmm, yeah.

Yeah, yeah that is where all my friends are.....online! cry But I KNOW that I am not the only one in this position. All you others people don't be afraid to speak up now and admit that all your friends are online as well! I have good reasons for this.....to be honest, I would rather have it this way. My sister is friend enough for me! (love you sis, muah)

I had this really creepy dream last night that something came out of the clouds, it looked like the 'marshmellow man' from 'Ghost Busters' (the movie) OMG it was soooo weird! Anyway, it came out of the clouds and I think he was holding a camera and taking pictures of everyone....but it was scary for some reason....who knows. UMPH...whatelse? Oh yeah, my brother John was in the dream and so that made me think of what he is up to. It drives me nuts when I don't hear from my family at least once every 2 days. Call it OCD, I don't care, but I HAVE to hear from them. (unless I am in a really hormonal mood and don't want to hear from my own thoughts much less my family or friends) OK....

Well, we finally got a cold front here, and I am really feeling it in my bones and my hands are actually cold for once. BRRRR (we need a :brrr: smiley) BRRRRRRR! I just uploaded the marshmellow man to my blog, wow, he is creepy looking! Just look at him, all fat and white and scary looking! While I am on the subject of movies, we bought the movies 'Click' and 'Over the Hedge' I recommend them to everyone! Over the Hedge is da bomb, we all loved it! Well, I am almost too cold to type anymore so I guess I will wrap this unintelligent and worthless post up for tonight.

Tomorrow is my husband's birthday, he will be 37, but he doesn't seem too worried about it (he thinks he is still 18) so we will celebrate with a small party and have a big party later since the twins birthday and mine is on the same day, the 23rd of this month. Well, have a great day/night everyone and will catch ya later.

Sarah

He is still 18, don't mistake it! Muti-tasking? Doing many things in a mute way? Or is it more like yeti-tasking? Doing many yetis at once?

Wow Sarah...your hubby b-day, yours & the twins all so close together! If I could, I would send you a cake!!!! I am going to research that...maybe next year. There has got to be a way! smile
Happy 37th Carrell!! I am 37 too...not such a bad year! wink
Oh ya, of course, I still feel like a teen! lol
Ok..about friends online...only friends online...I think you would have to torture that info out of me. wink
Seriously however, I don't have a super-close friend like I used to. Most of my friends are online...hey wouldn't that make a great t-shirt? Anyhow...have a great day Sarah... heart

Sarah - everybody feel uninspired from time to time. Best cure is to go offline for a couple of days - then ideas will come along. Works for me anyway.

About multitasking. Well - I am a man. I don´t think I fully understand the concept - if multitasking is required from me, I just start doing "one thing at a time" - which is not multitasking at all.

My wife is a multitasker - she listens to the radio, cooks and reads a magazine all at the same time. And she seems to be able to do it all at the same time - but at reduced speed.

Is this a question of gender?

Holey Moley Sarah!

Quite the quandary.......on line friends are great to have. They are the newest friends.

I have many old friends but I seldom see or speak to them.

I'm glad I have the on-line friends.

Happy Birthday Hubby! Semper Fedelis!

David I expected something like that from you. whistle I know that watching TV and typing are not a good example of multi-tasking. bigsmile

Fati Thanks so much for the warm wishes for Carrell. love

Cheryl bigsmile Yes, that would be so cool to get a cake! I am making a huge one today, I hope it turns out. lol

Allan Yes, I agree, I just do blogging when I feel like it. bigsmile And, yes women tend to mulitask more than men. Studies have shown that women's brain cells connect and talk to each other in a different way than men. Umm, but I am not sure why. God made us that way.

Nikolaos Thanks for the link, I will check it out. bigsmile

Dave Oh yes, online friends are great. I agree. About Carrell, thanks for the birthday wish, I know he appreciates it. He even celebrates the Marine Corp's BD, do you? (he was hoping that our youngest would be born on that day, she was born on the 17th instead.) lol

Thanks all for stopping by.
love

Have a great day with your husband (I am also prone to thinking I am still 18!). smile

I can't multi-task to save my life; even only two simulantaneous jobs pretty much guarantees I'll mess them both up!
