New Family Members

The kids grandmother came to visit yesterday from out of town, and she came bearing gifts of different things for the girls, along with a fish tank.

Then we went to Wal-Mart and purchased 4 cold water fish, I think they are just gold fish, I guess.

Well, here are our new family members.

I envy you

I have always wanted a couple of fishes and an aquarium. However, I adore cats, so I don't know if they would get along

Although, when I had a parrod, he and the cats really liked each other - they even used to sleep in his cage and keep him warm

They never thought of eating him!

So, who knows... Maybe my cats would learn to swim?

I always liked aquariums. As a kid I could sit for hours watching those multicoloured creatures living their lives before my eyes.

Yes, get some fish. The tank will have a lid to it, so the cat won't get in, no worries. A parrot and a cat? So cute! I used to take care of a lady that had a bird and a cat, but the cat was jealous of the bird and did kill it one day.

Cute! But watch out. We started with 5 gold fish, I was cleaning the bowl twice a day, so we got an aquarium. Then decided to get tropical fish because the aquarium seemed to call out for that. Tropical fish need a lot of expensive stuff, then the goldfish ended up in the bowl again. Another tank. We finally ended up spending a couple of hundred dollars, then all the gold fish died. (Not of natural causes, my son Aaron was 3 at the time and thought they wanted to look out the window. He took them out of their tank and laid them all on the window sill)

YEY what a cool colourful fish tank. lovvin it!!! Makes me wish i still had fish too, there's nothing better than being in a dark room and relaxing to the light and sounds from a fish tank. ahhh calming
