The Blasphemy Challenge
Monday, December 18, 2006 7:55:08 PM
Religion is more and more in my face every day that I live, but this is taking it to some extreme that I have not experienced yet as person.OK I just HAD to post about this. How many of you have heard about the Blasphemy Challenge? A group of Atheist got together to create this web site The Blasphemy Challenge, to get all their fellow Atheist to ban together to tell the world that they deny the Holy Spirit and God. Hmm, OKAY!
One question..................Why???????????????
What is it inside these folks that is driving them to create new bonds and shout to the world that they DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD.........ohhh let's whine about it folks.
Oh there is no God so I am telling you (if you want to hear it or not) and wa wa waaaaaaa!!! Someone please give these people a tissue to blow their snotty little bratty rebellious noses! They don't want to follow rules or a higher power. I am not the type of person that is going to say, "Well, you are going to hell because you don't believe in God or the Holy Spirit." FOR the simple fact...........IF I TELL YOU THAT I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN! I love people more than they know, when I look at a person, I see a soul and a spirit not a body or what they believe. I realize that we are all going to be dead one day and what we are here for is to teach the future generations on how to get along and live in a normal society.
We are here for a reason. We will not know that reason until after death, and that is perfectly fine with me. Who am I to question why I am here? I am here to be a good human and mind my manners as much as I can, I am here to give to those that need, I am here to love and teach and enjoy nature around me. Doesn't it feel good when you are touched? When someone wraps their arms around you in a loving embrace, when someone 'tickles' your back? Doesn't food taste wonderful? Isn't grass beautiful in the spring? If you can find ANYTHING beautiful about this world then you should be happy and know that you have a purpose.
Denying the Holy Spirit in public is not going to save you. It is not going to make you famous, it is not going to feed the poor, it is not going to make others believe the same that you believe.
I happen to have been born in the U.S. with Christian parents and have had personal good spiritual experiences, so THAT is why I am a Christian. But I am no fanatical by any means!
done ranting,
Sarah

this is what freedom of speech and religion brings, even for those
who do not believe..
Just ignore them and believe in what you do believe in and
God will take care of the others.
Beautiful photos you placed by the way
rant with beauty.
Love
Fatimah

I don't know an answer to your question, Sarah.
But I think it will be the same reason, why other folks want show the whole world, they believe in God.
Good to know: nobody is impelled, to visit such (believer or non-believer) sites.

But they are not fanatic atheists - and I´m not a fanatic believer either, so it works out quite well.
By the way I always thought that if you imagine a Boeing 747 10.000 feet above the ground with only one engine still active but burning, I think that there would be very, very few atheists left in that plane at that stage.
I think our lives are just like that plane - we´re bound to die very soon, so we´d better thank our God and try our best to live the remaining part of our lives right.
You said it yourself, better than I could have said it:
"Who am I to question why I am here? I am here to be a good human and mind my manners as much as I can, I am here to give to those that need, I am here to love and teach and enjoy nature around me. Doesn't it feel good when you are touched? When someone wraps their arms around you in a loving embrace, when someone 'tickles' your back? Doesn't food taste wonderful? Isn't grass beautiful in the spring? If you can find ANYTHING beautiful about this world then you should be happy and know that you have a purpose."
Thanks Sarah. You said it just right.

The USA does seem to be a very Christian based country, so I'd imagine it would be unusual to find atheists or many other kinds of religions. however I live in the multi-cultured UK where we have Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, Catholics, Protestants, Pagan, buddists and a huge bunch of atheists. n those are just the religions I can remember of off the top of my head. And yes I count Atheist as a religion since it is a belief system.
In my experience I say we can all believe what we wish to believe in and no one should choose that for you, let alone preach their views upon others. that atheist site is just another form of preaching and for that I don't like it. making such a song and dance about god not existing is just playing up to being anti christian, Hell and the devil is still christianity. what sickens me more is now many wars have been fought over conflicting religious views.
now I may seem like a big hippy with this comment, but at the end of the day, we are all human beings, a single species on this diverse planet. We have free choises and beliefs. As long as we bring no harm to others then that's good enough for me. Shame the world doesn't work like that, isn't it.

You would just have to live here and visit here to know that we are just the same as you, mixed religions left and right.
Yes there is a little of everyone here, but I do have to say that there are a lot of 'Christian' churches but yeah there is everything here as well.
