I once wrote a paper about the life of one room school teachers. It's really sad to say that some of them committed suicide because of the miserable lives they led. The pioneer life was not all romantic as "Little House on the Prairie" would have you believe.

Teachers must have been super dedicated to adhere to all those rules, I'm really looking forward to your posting on the menu!! That sounds like it would be really interesting.

Issy, That is great that he understands you. My husband is also
great at understand, thank God. smile

Sandy, Yes, that sounds like a horrible story of the real life
of old school teachers. I know it might have drove me crazy
to try to teach and take care of so many children of different
ages and personalities! faint That paper would be really
interesting to read. smile

Lois, I am sure it was so much different then and I am sure
that the teachers felt personally responsible for the kids
that she took care of then. The menu doesn't go as far back
as I would like to see, but I am going to post it now. smile

Thanks all heart
