I know it might be a little too early to be talking about Valentine's Day, but this is my favorite time of the year....not only because it is a time of year that is okay to eat chocolate, but because it is my anniversary. On the 12th of February we will have been married 12 years, but I like to say 13...only because we have been together 13 years. This is a very important bench mark for us, because to be honest, we didn't think that we would make it past the first 7. Getting past the 7 year itch is the hardest thing that I think either of us had to do.(in our marriage that is) So, to think that we have almost doubled that is amazing to me!

So, my husband told me that he wanted to make steak and shrimp for us to celebrate next Monday. I don't have a problem with that at all except for the fact that I read an article in 'Cosmopolitan'
magazine that said, "When women are feeling down, they turn to chocolate or sweet and sugary snacks, but when men have steak when they feel as if they have accomplished something or achieved a goal."

That meanssss.........that my husband feels as if he achieved a goal by being married to me for 12 years~! rour

Now, I can take that in two different ways, feel good that he is happy that he achieved his goal, or upset that it is a goal to begin with!

I find this all completely amusing to be honest, not over thinking one little bit.(now am I?) hahhahahah Oh well, point is....it has been very interesting and now is starting to feel very comfortable and nice now that we are in a grove of things, and the kids are getting older and doing their own thing. Not all the time, but most of the time they are having their own interest. We both have our own life, to some extent and then we both have a life together, which is really good. Sarah
