Finding a friend for Godfrey

*So we are starting Spring Break here but Saturday when I had a little extra free time I wrote a short child's story with the help of my 7 year old. It was more fun than anything and they enjoyed hearing it. We also did a recording of the story which you can listen to by the media player here.*
:)The story of Godfrey with sound effects.
"Finding a Friend for Godfrey"
I found a friend; he is a frog named Godfrey.
Say hi Godfrey..........
You have to excuse him…he is in a bad mood. He has no friends; he is all alone so I rescued him from his lonely pond and tried to introduce him to others.
First to a stork, but the stork only wanted to eat him.
“Who me?” said the stork.
“Give me have my frog back!” I quickly took Godfrey from the hungry wing of the stork.
The next animal was a dog. I asked if he would like to be Godfrey’s friend. But the dog only wanted to play with little Godfrey!
What is a nicer animal that he can be friends with? A cat!
But seeing the look in the cat’s eyes only worried me and scared little Godfrey to death.
Walking along the pond, Godfrey and I were thinking deeply about whom we were going to find as a friend.
“Will I ever have a friend my size?” Godfrey’s big eyes stared at me while asking.
Before I was able to answer, we heard a “Rib-it, rib-it!”
There she was, Helga in all her beauty and grace. Godfrey was so happy to find such a beautiful friend, and she was a frog too! So what does Godfrey and Helga do?
Get MARRIED of course!!!
Godfrey and Helga lived happily ever after on a beautiful green lily pad at the pond where he was found.
