Okay, so tomorrow is Easter Day. The kids have decorated 5 dozen eggs and they are ready to be hid tomorrow. Yes, 5 dozen. Thanks to my mother. Well, that is what grandmothers are for, eh? I was reading around in some blogs and the discussions on the subject vary from the lighthearted to the serious. But I am now trying to take a deep breath and remove my thinking from some of the drama that I just read and came across. Center...center....center....

This picture above is something that I came across and originally thought was funny. But the longer I look at it, the less funny it becomes to me. But I will not go into details why, it is not worth my mental energy.

This one, I found on Photobucket. I appreciate it because it is putting in writing how hateful and back stabbing that some women can be. I can imagine that when the colorful egg turns around and smiles at the other two, they are going to bat their eyes and say hello and tell her how beautiful and alluring she is. I have very few women friends, and I am proud to say it. The reason is-this cartoon. Or, the concept of it. What did the colorful egg do but sit there and try to look cute? She didn't go out to have to other eggs blast her on her color. But that is the way the world is today, right? And most people sit back and assume that it is acceptable. Women are some of the most catty, whiny, and insecure people on this earth; I firmly believe that they (women) will in a minute scratch the eyes out of the next 'sister' or 'so called friend' if the right feelings arose. If you are getting discouraged reading this, that is exactly how I felt while browsing blogs this am. Still, I am searching for peace and happiness in the next blog post that my friends put out there.

Am I being a little 'unenthusiastic' about Easter? Well, that's okay because I am saving all that happiness for my children. Seeing their decorations that they made lovingly at school, the wonderful designs that came out of the beautiful boiled eggs they made, they are all breathtaking and really makes my heart full. So that is what matters most to me, that I can put a genuine smile on my face and feel free to skip around the yard helping the girls find the decorated eggs, candy, and plastic eggs with quarters in them. What matters most to me this Easter? Being with my family and having the peace of mind to know that I am alive another day to teach them to love a little deeper, try a little harder, speak a little softer and let them know that for every action there is a reaction. Tomorrow I WILL read them the story in the bible about why we celebrate Easter....our Saviour Jesus Christ was crucified for our sins and 3 days later arose from the grave. Whether most or not want to believe it, "Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess...."
