This weekend was so nice and relaxing. My husband had 3 days off so it was quite nice to hang out more with him. Sunday (mother’s day) we invited my mother over for steak, shrimp and veggies cooked on the grill. We served the veggies over fettuccini alfredo noodles. To drink we had a sangria wine. I actually had about 4 glasses because it is so addictively delicious. Here is a simple recipe that we made up below.

• 1 Bottle of your favorite white or red wine.
• 1 Lemon cut into wedges or circles
• 1 Orange cut into wedges or circles
• 1 Lime cut into wedges or circles
• 1 apple cut into wedges or circles
• 1 Cup sliced strawberries (fresh or frozen)
• 1 can frozen concentrated fruit juice
• 1/2 Cup Sugar
• And anything else fruity that you want to add!

Cut and freeze wedges of fruit. Add a bottle of wine to a pitcher and add half of the frozen fruit and the whole can of frozen fruit juice, stir.
Save the other frozen fruit to add later as the mixture in pitcher warms.
Serve with a slice of lime wedged onto the rim of glass and enjoy.


Anyway-today my husband and I finally went to see “Spiderman 3” at the theatre. It was quite nice going to the morning matinee show with no one around to talk, cough or generally distract us from the movie. I am serious…we had the whole place to ourselves; I was almost in a euphoric state. Maybe we can do that more often! haha
I have read a few reviews here on Opera about what you guys have thought of the movie and none of them were really saying that this is a movie that others should see. But I have to say, it was very enjoyable! I think that anyone could watch Spiderman 3 and enjoy it, maybe secretly…but like it nonetheless. I actually thought that Sandman was a little bit distracting but made up for it in the long run. Giving a bad review to “Spiderman 3” will not happen here! lol, I really loved it! Spidey did look pretty hot in that all black suit he was wearing there for a while….
