Visit

[/IMG]This past Sunday my eldest daughter and I went out of town to visit my best friend of 15 years. She is newly married and now pregnant! I assumed that her baby days were over, but she has surprised me.
I suppose the best part of the visit was seeing the kids again, I consider them to be my niece and nephew. They are both great kids.
My friend seemed a bit miserable being pregnant.
And I do understand why. But I also know that if you plan on getting pregnant, all of your ducks must be in order and that goes for the health of your body as well! Carrying a child is no easy task, when pregnant with the twins I was a young, healthy girl but I still became very ill. So I can’t imagine what she is going through with her health and age. Besides me being worried about her, we had a good visit. I stayed up late with the girls and we watched movies and had snacks. My friends passed out early and I was up drinking coffee and snacking a bit with the teens! lol I guess I am not ready to grow up yet.
Monday I got some great shots of the kids in the backyard swinging on a giant homemade rope swing. Off the back of the house there is a deck with seating that flows down to a huge tree with swing. Further back is another line of trees that follow a creek that literally flows through the yard! (with no bridge mind you)
Also in the back yard there is an older barn that was not taken care of. The bone structure is good, so hopefully they can put it in working order soon. All and all the place is beautiful, peaceful and surrounded by nature. They are in a town that is much smaller than my own, so I know that it will be a great place to raise the kids, if they can get past the normal small town gossip. Starting over in a new town is stressful, I know, so I wish my best friend and her hubby loads of luck! Love you guys.
Sarah

Sorry that your friend is having a tough time. I can't imagine starting over.
Sounds like they have a beautiful spot for their new beginnings.

Yes, I agree. Great place to start over. They have moved 4 times in the past year, so I know they are ready to settle.

i have one officemate that didnt do too good during pregnancy.. of his wife. when they first got married, he always went home early, at 5.30 pm. when his wife got pregnant, he started to go home late.. doing almost nothing at the office. he told us that his wife 'hates' him when she was pregnant.
great photos there by the way. the kids looked very happy

i dont have a child but yes, you are right.. its no easy task indeed.
in my culture (not sure if its the same there or anywhere) when a woman is pregnant, anything that crosses her mind that she would like to eat.. the others will try their best to fulfill it. and of course, during pregnancy.. she will wanna eat anything but the ordinary stuff
when my friends ask me to cook things, i will ask them 'are you pregnant? because if you are not, then i wont feel guilty turning you down'
hmm.. how come im like writting story here, eh?

that is perfectly fine. that is what the blog is here for!
Some things that I craved were
chicken soup
crackers
ice cream
cold cereal
lots of milk
fish
I hated:
the smell of garlic
smell of brown beans cooking
meat cooking
any strong smell

from the list, i assume you didnt give your husband much headaches ( well, except for 'really didnt like' him part
