Visit

, , ,

[/IMG]This past Sunday my eldest daughter and I went out of town to visit my best friend of 15 years. She is newly married and now pregnant! I assumed that her baby days were over, but she has surprised me. faint

I suppose the best part of the visit was seeing the kids again, I consider them to be my niece and nephew. They are both great kids.smile My friend seemed a bit miserable being pregnant.sad And I do understand why. But I also know that if you plan on getting pregnant, all of your ducks must be in order and that goes for the health of your body as well! Carrying a child is no easy task, when pregnant with the twins I was a young, healthy girl but I still became very ill. So I can’t imagine what she is going through with her health and age.

Besides me being worried about her, we had a good visit. I stayed up late with the girls and we watched movies and had snacks. My friends passed out early and I was up drinking coffee and snacking a bit with the teens! lol I guess I am not ready to grow up yet. rolleyes

Monday I got some great shots of the kids in the backyard swinging on a giant homemade rope swing. Off the back of the house there is a deck with seating that flows down to a huge tree with swing. Further back is another line of trees that follow a creek that literally flows through the yard! (with no bridge mind you) lol Also in the back yard there is an older barn that was not taken care of. The bone structure is good, so hopefully they can put it in working order soon. All and all the place is beautiful, peaceful and surrounded by nature. They are in a town that is much smaller than my own, so I know that it will be a great place to raise the kids, if they can get past the normal small town gossip.

Starting over in a new town is stressful, I know, so I wish my best friend and her hubby loads of luck! Love you guys.

Sarah

hi sarah,
i have one officemate that didnt do too good during pregnancy.. of his wife. when they first got married, he always went home early, at 5.30 pm. when his wife got pregnant, he started to go home late.. doing almost nothing at the office. he told us that his wife 'hates' him when she was pregnant. faint. he even asked us what to do. but what can we do/advise him, right? i dont mean to sound cruel, but now when i remember his face back then.. asking what to do, its funny lol. now they are up with their son. happy

great photos there by the way. the kids looked very happy smile

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Thursday, June 7, 2007 11:34:22 AM

Aida, best laugh ever! Wow, that is sooo funny. I was the same way when pregnant with the last one. I really didn't like my husband...or neighbors bigeyes or even myself at times! faint Carrying a child is no easy task. sad So I was glad to be 'fixed' I can not have anymore kids! up

Froggyfbaggins Thursday, June 7, 2007 12:09:47 PM

you were the same? im assuming your husband is relieved that he wouldnt have to go through that phase again? bigsmile
i dont have a child but yes, you are right.. its no easy task indeed.

in my culture (not sure if its the same there or anywhere) when a woman is pregnant, anything that crosses her mind that she would like to eat.. the others will try their best to fulfill it. and of course, during pregnancy.. she will wanna eat anything but the ordinary stuff lol.

when my friends ask me to cook things, i will ask them 'are you pregnant? because if you are not, then i wont feel guilty turning you down' lol joking with them, of course.

hmm.. how come im like writting story here, eh? bigsmile

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Thursday, June 7, 2007 12:19:08 PM

Hi Aida,
that is perfectly fine. that is what the blog is here for! bigsmile Ok, yes, when a women craves something...the husband will try to cook for her or go out and get what she is wanting. My mother knew a women that craved to eat soil! faint I was thinking,oh no that is not good, but she liked it obviously. yuck

Some things that I craved were
chicken soup
crackers
ice cream
cold cereal
lots of milk
fish

I hated:
the smell of garlic
smell of brown beans cooking
meat cooking
any strong smell

smile

Froggyfbaggins Thursday, June 7, 2007 12:33:12 PM

hi sarah,
bigsmile oki dokie.
craved to eat soil? faint how to even put in mouth and swallow faint but creatively ( and bit modifying ) when the baby is all grown up and not listening to her, she could say 'i had to eat soil when pregnant with you just to make sure you have enough minerals ...' bigsmile

from the list, i assume you didnt give your husband much headaches ( well, except for 'really didnt like' him part bigsmile )

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Thursday, June 7, 2007 12:37:40 PM

To be honest...I can't remember. sad I think he said I was grouchy..
up and down mostly not happy.

Thank God those days are ovaaa!

Froggyfbaggins Thursday, June 7, 2007 12:41:39 PM
