Painting-furniture and nails

Finally I am posting my pictures of what I have been painting............

This dresser was given to us....by my grandmother; it was my great aunt’s. I have painted this dresser 2 times before and this is the 3rd time! lol But I almost forgot to take the ‘before’ picture so I stuck a drawer in a grabbed a pic.

The colors I chose are the ones that match their room; Dutch Boy home semi-gloss Vienna Turquoise and Lime Smoothie. I love the names that the paint companies come up with, it makes the color ‘feel’ a bit better. I might add some sort of embellishment later...like replacing the handles and adding a decoupage.

Next I painted 2 end tables (not matching) a plain white. Safe and simple. One was used in the living room to hold the fish, lamp and plant. The other one was used in the room with the dresser.

Another thing I painted was a smaller book shelf that was in the girl’s room. It has been transformed from a plain white to a glossy black to match the sidebar in the living room. It is housing just some of the movie DVD’s that we own.

After

Lastly…yesterday…we painted nails. love

Ok, I am going walking now...took me forever to do this post! faint sick of sitting!

(me looking sick of painting the dresser behind me lol)

To the Women After God's own Heart......Well, what am I doing right now?

Awesome! You are great painter.

All things after transformations look like new and fit in the house.

I like the idea with the book shelf, and its painting black.

With love, Ramute.

Thanks guys, it was fun but...umm....a little bored of it after a while. It seems so exciting in the beginning and then it is like, "I am not finished yet? Touch ups? NOT!"

Cheryl, lol Yeah..I think in this pic I was looking a bit nice..not as sick as I thought...I should have stuck my tongue out! hahah p

Goooood jobs Sarah....all of them up bigsmile I get hyperactive when it is warm outside...is it the same with you??

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Monday, June 18, 2007 4:48:19 PM

Oh yes, I loooove warm weather. Even if it is lying in the sun like a cat, or doing work it's all good. up

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Tuesday, June 19, 2007 9:02:35 AM

Oh, you do it cat-wise. I do it reptile-wise. I have to lie on a stone in the sun in order to warm up, in order to move:lol:
My father who lived in Spain in the last part of his life, thought I was crazy. When everybody went inside during the siesta...I went to the beach...people looked out through the shutters....Gringo loco!!bigsmile

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, June 19, 2007 2:21:02 PM

lol Ohh I love the beach. But the closest beach to me is more than 200 miles away. sad The only beach around here is at the lake. smile

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Tuesday, June 19, 2007 4:36:32 PM

What´s wrong with the lake??:confused:It´s cool water isn´t it?cool

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, June 19, 2007 8:32:22 PM

Oh yes, the lake is nice. But sea water seems to be cleaner...at least in my experience.

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Wednesday, June 20, 2007 8:21:36 AM

Oh I see. In my neighbor country Sweden you can drink the water in some of the lakes:)

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Wednesday, June 20, 2007 11:32:50 AM

We get our water from the lake...the city pumps it to a water treatment plant. lol But I think the water is really good and safe to drink, but not directly from the lake!

Speaking of....my daughter and I went to the store yesterday and bought swimming supplies so I can take her to the lake today. So that is what
we are doing! smile

Speaking of your country Sweden, I would love to travel to the country
someday. *it's on my to-do list.

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Wednesday, June 20, 2007 12:14:13 PM

My country is not Sweden, but i live close to it. My country is Denmark:D But I go to Sweden quite often. My hometown Is Helsingør (elsinore) and 20 minutes away, by boat is Helsingborg, Sweden:)
Your coming lake visit sounds good up. If you visit any of the scandinavian countries, be sure to bring a lot of money. Everything is terribly expensive:(

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Wednesday, June 20, 2007 12:45:08 PM

doh Sorry! Yes, you and Allan are from Denmark....

checklist...
1. Go to right country
2. Bring lots of money
3. ........

Nicolas Borgsmidtnopanic Wednesday, June 20, 2007 12:59:14 PM

lol up
ad. 3: Bring camera!! many good shots here:D
