Playing in the Rain

, , , , ,

I bring fresh showers for the thirsting flowers, From the seas and the streams; I bear light shade for the leaves when laid In their noonday dreams. From my wings are shaken the dews that waken The sweet buds every one, When rocked to rest on their mother's breast, As she dances about the sun. I wield the flail of the lashing hail, And whiten the green plains under, And then again I dissolve it in rain, And laugh as I pass in thunder.Author: Percy Bysshe Shelley

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Just a little note.........on the first picture, there is normally a 10 foot drop under that platform and as you can see, the water was covering it. That is just one example of the flooding!

your post is a juicy one; with the pictures... so evocative. the kids look so nice and a little excited after the storm... good story-teller, you're becoming.

A bit of soap and y'all don't need the shower stall.
Hopefully your home is not at flood stage.smile

I like this entry and I hope that the rain didn't cause any harm to you. Take care!

I like the last picture best because of the contrast between the trees and the streetlamp and the sky. Very nice.

Lovely post Sarah! up And yes, so much rain! bigeyes

Here on Canada's west coast it's raining too, but you kind of expect that here. Back in England though it's far wetter than usual, and there's been serious flooding. What a wet year this is!

Thanks all for stopping by!

Adele, it is very rainy this summer, but I am happy for the
lower utility bills this rain is creating for us here. up
