do i have to think of a title?
Wednesday, July 4, 2007 4:00:30 AM
Ok, so I must be tired, I don't even want to think up a title for my blog post. I don't want to.
So how is everyone? Good? I love you guys/gals. You guys/gals are my support group. When I get too busy to come on here, I will miss you guys/gals and think of you. I promise to never get too busy to stop in and check on my blog. Ever. As long as Opera is alive.
So today I mowed the backyard. It has been raining for .....umm.......I think 17 days no stop. I think. Yeah so it flooded, you guys know that. Even my grandmother's house flooded. Poor grammy.
We went out there this weekend and helped her with moving furniture and that sort of thing. They had to pull up all of her flooring. The floating wood floor that she JUST had installed.
And ALL of the carpet. I think maybe she was ready for the carpet to go. She hated it anyway. But now she is dealing with cement slab floor. And that is not cute.
I am not sure what they are going to do with her floor now. My uncles are supposed to come and fix it for her. They are both a days drive from her, so I think they are coming in August when they have time. Poor grammy! The water flowed through her house like a river!!!! No one knew this would happen, she just moved in there.
flooding stinks
Parks are now lakes
People are forced out of their homes.
The rivers are betraying us!
Umm, what else? Tomorrow is the 4th of July. Tonight I took the girls just up the road to watch the fireworks. The Country Club is about 2 miles (3km) from me so all we had to do was drive up to a clear road to see them. Oh yeah...they were coming from the country club by the way.
Tomorrow they will be out at the Air force Base. As far as I know. I know that there is flooding, so I am a little confused if they are going to have them there this year or not.
Oh well, we shall see tomorrow.
Ugh, it is late almost 11 pm and I am extremely tired. So excuse me I am going to bed. Will try to take pics of the fireworks to post. Well, everyone has seen fireworks, but oh well, maybe I will get some good shots of the girls or something. yeah. tired. bye.

Sorry to hear that you are going through the same thing. I think it is terrible for anyone to go through, and sometimes feels terribly unfair. I hope things are okay for you.

any flooding....family members...different story.
I forgot to mention, my father-in-law took in a couple of family members that had water almost to their ceiling! They live directly by a 'creek' that is now a RIVER!

I just got in from mowing..........again.
grass is too wet to mow! so it makes it difficult, but if we don't
do it, then the grass will grow like a jungle.
Do you care?
Esther-Sugar Winxsugarwinx # Friday, July 6, 2007 4:48:28 PM
I don't understand. Is it so horrid to mow the lawn?? I've never moved my lawn (It's cememnted and it's not even big enough to need a mover! That's city houses for ya!
U won't knit me a jersey dress? Then u'll buy me one?

No, there are trees around and there are also parks and gardens but we don't mow public government parks...
It's just our houses that ain't big enough for a huge garden. It's like NYC... I'm sure Central Park has oxygen but I'm sure no one mows Central Park...
