I finally received my invite to Ravelry. It's an online knitting/crochet community and is currently in beta, being invite only.

I was checking out all the profiles, and seeing the super talented women. I felt like such a beginner after seeing all the wonderful things these ladies make. Some people think that knitting and crocheting are for older people, but this is a hobby that is gaining in popularity more and more each year with the 'younger and hip' crowd. For me personally, it is a hobby that is
1.Inexpensive
2.Rewarding
3.Relaxing
I have to keep my mind busy all the time, so it's perfect for me until I move on to other things.

I am the get bored easy type of person.....
YEY! I am excited about it, and feel so special.

That is so cool. I've been wanting to learn how to crochet. I have all the hooks, and some beautiful cream-colored yarn, just in case I run across somebody who can teach me.

(Is that what they call moving forward in faith?)

Unfortunately, I have about as much talent as a rock.

And even less focus. And being left-handed, it's kinda hard to flip-flop the videos and instructions I've been able to find that teach the basics. But I'm gonna learn it eventually.

Oh wow, lefties. I know so many lefties that I wonder where all the right handed people are.

I can imagine it would be difficult to learn if you were left handed. Crocheting might be the easiest thing to learn being left handed because of the simplicity of the action. KNITTING on the other hand would be very confusing! I get confused just watching knitting videos and supposedly they are geared for right handed folks. I think I came across a crochet video for lefties. If I find it I will let cha know.

Karen, I think I have more to do than hours in the day. I just have my ups and downs of the actual amount of projects that I want to do. Today I have to pull dragon fly wings out of my ass because the MUSIC TEACHER just gave the parents letters YESTERDAY that the kids need costumes for the play tonight. So Yeah...I think I am going to get reallllllllllllllly freakin' creative here in a min girlfriend. [think melting plastic and molding wire or some freaky stuff like that.]

What's funny is they had wings for all the girls when we got there. Thank God I ditched the idea I had.

I got pics of the play that I might add in a bit. I wish I could just add them now before I go run errands. Tried to capture some video as well, we will see how it turns out.

I got that vibe from her just by reading the first page of the thread. Some of the most devoted Christians that I know don't believe that the bible, so I think that this one is a little brainwashed, or suffers from personality disorder/mental illness. I consider her to be a terrorist. She is no better than those who would die for their religion.

I am actually not educated in respects of the bible to even begin to debate that issue!
