but, I can't help asking why is the recording quality so... tricky? (not the bitrate of the mp3, but the recording itself)

Yes...it was actually recorded with camera

and I exported the file as wav and then had to convert it to mp3 with remix software. (I actually added a bit of echo.)

To simply life, I went out and bought a new microphone this morning.

don't strain yourself then... just sing what's comfortable. my mother could sing, and she had voice training... she used to sing while she was doing the dishes.
