everyday life of a stay at home mom/artist

You know what I have noticed?

, , , ,

Most friends don't care about small details of your life; as long as you are alive they are content. rolleyes I guess I can be the same way at times with my friends. If I hear from them once a month I'm ecstatic! And my family! If most of them hear from me once a year then…yey. No more updates for another year!! bigsmile Come on, tell me it’s not true!

Moving on….tonight several female members of the family are going to meet to celebrate my grandmother’s 85th birthday! I love the way grandma Alpha has always been such an independent and strong woman. I see so much of myself in her..she loves the arts, loves walking and taking care of herself, still drives (slowly p ) and lives on her own! Of course, her getting older has required some help in some things but we could never be more proud of how good she is doing at this age. up party cheers There are too many memories to list about Grandma...she’s a tough woman...so MOST are good. heheheh

My sister and I are going to start a small business named Nature’s Essence Photography.™ She and I came up with the name while brainstorming last week over a cup of coffee. I like the name and I think will work well with all the ‘going organic/green’ movement recently. I also checked out the local college to see about taking a photography class. *fingers crossed*

Oh! Last thoughts…what do you buy for an 85 year old woman?? Argggh!!!!

Congratulations to you, Sarah, for such a tenacious and strong Grandma. The best gift in the world, of course (to me), is the starting of the new business that your sister and you are building. You can probably credit your Grams some for showing you kids the way to live life happily and remain strong. Since you and your sister are starting a nature photography biz, what about a thank you card for her guidance and some type of wonderful flowering plant? Maybe some bulbs with some nice stones in a pretty glass vase or bottle that she can watch grow from her window seal?
