My Opera is closing 3rd of March

sarah's Arty Dreams

everyday life of a stay at home mom/artist

A cold morning back to school!

This is the first day back to school for the girls after a 2 week break. I hope they still have brain cells that are willing to learn after so much TV, Internet and games! faint Hey, that's the world we live in now. So much social interaction being done online. bigsmile

I started the van and turned the heater on low and all the defrost buttons I could push, were pushed. I sat, with all my layers on, and let the windows slowly defrost....listening to my thoughts. I prayed for the day and for everyone to feel blessed and safe. What do you think of while alone with nothing else going on? Do you close your eyes for some deep breathing and visualization? For me, I defiantly take the time to relax and recharge for a moment.

[Off subject]
Oh! Amir just imed me a link to the forum that is hosting a contest. I am sorry, Amir, I am not too keen on what it is exactly...but hopefully you will get a few clicks from my link here. (this is for those interested in graphic art work)

Back to the girls, they all seemed pretty excited to get back and visit with their friends. smile I am taking three of them back and forth right now, because 2 of them were kicked off of the bus for hitting each other. Sisters fighting? Who would have thunk it? rolleyes Anyway...this big fat oopsie ends this week sometime. I am looking forward to putting them back on the bus....p You GO girls! No..really.

Bye all! Make it a great day!I am going to my mother's to have some makeover time. She needs a touch up on her do and also, she has a slight case of pneumonia. sad I am going to make her some chicken noodle soup. happy

love

I was inspired by this post to write. A completely random pick from Twittermoms.com.

At what age will your daughters start a blog? I know kids can type at 4 or 5 now, just wondering.

I hope the first day back went well for you guys - so far so good for us. My son is back home with me now and we're off to pick up his big sister soon. Have a great day! Jeanne

I offer my respect for all of you with children!
We don't have any but our neice (13) & nephew (15) lived with us for 9 weeks & omg, it did not go well. It wasn't for lack of trying on our part! irked

When I'm alone I pray or try to remember my schedule for the day. Bad short term memory & all...
wink

Brian...Mmm...like an all out blog blog? Like mine? That depends on their want/need to write. They all have some sort of 'online space' right now. I trust 2 with it and the other 2 I know are not ready for that, emotionally and mentally. So I REALLY monitor their usage.

I don't mind if they blog starting at about the age of 15...as long as they don't talk about things like I did with my mother today..how when I was a teen I was invited to a party where there was a bong as big as the living room that a guy built. bigeyes Yeah, so I had some extra weird experiences as a teen and I would like to know what the girls are going through..to an extent.

Aadil, I don't trust think that is an issue with him. p

Cois, Good luck and take care of yourself! Health is</> important after all. smile

Hermitess,

I can't imagine trying to raise another person's children. I know it can be done, but I wouldn't want to be the person doing it. faint I know how strong willed kids can be. scared

I think it would be cute to see things from a kids point of view. I know they are too young to understand politics, but just the day to day life commentary would be great. When do they start teaching keyboard skills these days? I didn't learn until high school.

maddysman2003 Tuesday, January 6, 2009 1:39:25 AM

That wasn't a bong, it was the water heater. eek

Mad Scientist (عادل)qlue Tuesday, January 6, 2009 5:24:10 AM

I'm 36 and I still don't understand politics. i don't think that I'll ever understand politics. left.
Perhaps some people are simply born with a understanding of politics. confused.

BRRRRRRRR. It is too cold for my taste. Who says there is global warming? Not in Virginia, there is not. And we are not as cold as other places.

CherylDuckyChickenLady Thursday, January 8, 2009 2:25:47 PM

Well..I can relate to the cold...being Candadian & all! And also the bus woes...The bus driver 3 of my kids had retired just before Christmas!! YAY! I have never, NEVER had such a hard time with a bus driver before...my kids were in trouble for things like laughing on the bus, talking loud...and other things I am sure they didn't do.
This man was overdue to retire. I am all for a safe bus ride...but these are KIDS afterall!
My kids have been warned that if they do NOT sit still on the bus "I" will deal with them properly. They know I mean business. Especially on snowy roads..but this bus driver was extreme...
Sorry bout that rant..
Hope your girls can work it out to not beat on each other on the bus....
Happy New Year to you Sarah! Be Blessed!! heart

Awesome post, Sarah! yes

To answer your question, what I do when I'm all alone with my thoughts is sit and stew about everything I feel guilt for. This is exactly why I hate being alone in silence. It never ever happens. I, at least, need music on or something. rolleyes

I hope your Mom's feeling better by now! sad My heart sighed when I heard that she's got a touch of Pneumonia. I've had it - it's not fun. : prays for Mom:

I've missed you soooo much lately! Your blog looks freakin' adorable. I love what you've done with it..and your menu items...the colors...patterns...etc!!! yes You pwn the designing! I'm in the process of working on my Zelda theme. I have no idea when it'll be done.

Okay, I will shut up now. It's just been so long that I've been over here on your blog that I can't stop babbling. Imagine that! rolleyes

Love you! heart

glue- no one really understands politics, it is just something to watch and speculate on. Just when you think you got it figured out, the whole game changes.
