Whoa...Rae's 14th.

My oldest daughter's birthday was this past week! She turned 14!
I just can't believe that she is 14 now...I am like...WHERE did the years go? I keep dying my hair so that the gray might NEVER show up...or so I hope.
I took her and her friend to meet another friend at the movies. I slyly asked if I could go along. Really there was no reason that I wanted to go, other than to 'hang out' with my girls!
It cracks me up the way I was ready to just act silly and not care what anyone thought. Guess it is my way of being 'cool' for my daughter. My mother was never like that...never. She was your more traditional mom who dropped me off at the mall.
BIG MISTAKE.
I live in a town that has a military base.
"Don't cruise in cars with boys, Sarah"
"Oh sure mom sure...no problem. Gah I am not that stupid!"
And off my friends and I would go...cruising.
Point is..I know what I did, so I am keeping a close eye on my own girls. I will look at it as an adventure...a once in a lifetime thing to do! Last night, I snapped a few pics of the girls together at the movie theater. It was packed and there were a couple of cops standing around waiting to chase someone down, I guess. *shrug*
The theater was so frikkin' packed that the only available 4 seats were on the front row... My frikkin' neck was straining upward to see the screen.
My field of vision was so large! My eyeballs had to gaze and look across this GINORMOUS screen that was actually more BLURRY at the bottom than the top. (catering to the ones above us)
Also it seems like they used a lot of the point of view style in the movie. Which didn't help me..at all. Blurry, clear, blurry, clear. Ugh. I feel sick. I want to hide like one of the little girls that was with us. She screamed the first 5 minutes of the film causing the whole theater to laugh...poor baby.
This is the movie we saw...The Haunting in Connecticut. The movie flowed well except for details of the father, Peter Campbell, were boring and I don't feel important to the story line. It was good entertainment over all, though.
Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!!!

@Siran, it was ok. I think if I wasn't on the front
row I would have been able to enjoy it more.
