My OperaElam Family Reunion

This weekend I have been attending the Elam Family reunion here in my town....
It's been just amazing to learn about my mother's side of the family.
After attending, I realize how little I do know. There are a ton of interesting people who are attending, even one that looks like Bill Clinton! I need to get a picture of him, he's very tall and handsome, and a higher up in the military. He has a beautiful wife that he met while in another country years ago. I should find out more today...
Anyway I am excited about learning more about the deep roots that we have here in Wichita Falls going back to the turn of last century. To know your family and where you came from sort of makes me feel grounded and happy. I was hesitant to go, but I don't regret it one bit!

We never have family reunions anymore, and if we did I'm not sure I'd go anyway.
