Call of the Wild...Front yard.

I know this is really corny, but this morning while I was checking my Facebook, I heard the noisiest birds ever outside my door. I checked, and it was two birds fighting! I know, I am a big nerd like that! Anyway, thought I would record that noise. p Wish I would have been able to zoom...

I LOVE watching/listening to birds! I sit on my back patio and watch them go in and out of that feeder that Sunny & I made. It's so relaxing and interesting at the same time. smile

Thanks for sharing the video. happy

Who's got a delicate pink feminine border on her YouTube video, then? wink cool

Birds are fascinating.

They've got different calls for different situations, too. Often there's one off to the side somewhere acting as lookout. If it sounds the alarm (different from their normal chirps and peeps and whistles), all the others - and, often, different types - will fly off.

Meanwhile, any humans in the area are looking up at the birds and wondering what the kerfuffle is all about, while narrowly missing stepping on the king brown snake about a foot and a half away that the birds were warning everyone about ...

... or is that just us ... ? left right

(It happened to my Mum; fortunately, the snake was moving away from her ... though not as fast as she moved when she realized it was there!)

I've complimented you on your blog design before, too, I know, but it's really nice. Got a crafty, scrapbooky, Mum-made-this feeling about it. smile

No problem Karen. That would be nice to have a cup of coffee with you on the back patio. smile coffee

Dave, You are absolutely right about nature knowing more than we do. Nature is one tough bad ass momma. Maybe if we would be quiet and observe more, then we could learn so much.

Thanks for the compliment on the blog. love I like it quite a bit and plan on keeping it for a minute or two. wink

smile
