A Dream, A Life, A Memory.....Now let's get out!

Before we moved into our home 6 years ago, we lived in a small 2 bedroom house. It had just the basics; a living room, small bathroom with shower and a tiny kitchen with room for nothing. We made the best of it. We watered the yard and planted flowers and shrubs. Quickly outgrowing the bungalow with our children pushed us to search for new. We found a 3 bedroom ranch style home with a peaceful backyard and wonderful neighborhood. But now...after living here for almost 7 years we are moving again. We have looked at homes in our price range here and none are up to living standards.
Prices have gone up, so we have decided to move into an apartment flat! We have looked at it already and filled out the 15 page application. They want to know everything about you before you are approved.
I really had to convince myself that apartment living would be as good or better than home living. Here is the list I have compiled below. [/IMG]Pros and Cons
Pro- No yard work!
Con- No yard.
Pro- Finally my own bathroom.
Con- none.
Pro- swimming pool, workout room, beach volleyball, nice playground.
Con- also, there is no con to being physically active.
Pro- No waiting for hubby to do maintenance
Con- No painting the walls.
Pro- You are exposed to new music (from neighbors)
Con- The music may not be in your taste.
Pro- You know where EVERYTHING is!
Con- You MUST stay organized in a smaller space.
Pro- More affordable living
Con- again, no con...I wanna go shopping!Well, if anyone wants to add their thoughts below on the pros and cons of apartment living vs home living, then please do so.
It won't change the fact that we are moving though.
New adventure!

I would love to live in a complex with a pool and all that jive! That would SO rule....but thanks to all the credit checks, we can't rent those places. Our credit always gets in the way.
Enough about me, though....you guys need to party & pack!!! Yay!!!

con: not knowing whether or not they changed the locks of the apartment, like is mandatory, until something gets taken.
con: constant notices of "inspection" to make sure you are living p to their standards of living.
con: NO privacy
con: walls thin enough that you can hear your neighbors take a shit
con: no windchimes or suncatchers, or anything at all allowed in or on the windows, except for holiday decorations which have to be taken down just as soon as the holiday is over.
sorry for all the cons, but this is from 6 years of living in an apartment...if by chance i can think of anything positive, i will put it.

I lived in apartments for many years as well...and the only problem I can remember is (if you are living downstairs) are the fat asses walking upstairs. That was bad...and their music.
You really need to be a social person if you live in apts.

A little alone time is good for the soul. Guess I will have to go off to the lake when I am feeling overwhelmed. It doesn't happen often.
