Sunday Rain Update

It's been raining for the past few days and as you can see from my sticky post avatar..it's still raining. I enjoy the cooler weather for the most part...except for how it makes me a little head achy. What have I been doing? Well for one...I made a hat for my grandmother in 40's style and charm. She loved it and I hope it's keeping her cozy in the nursing home. She is there for the time being, recovering from a bleeding ulcer in her abdomen.

I am also working on a 3 button sweater for myself ....color Windsor Blue. Making a sweater for myself is something I never do really... usually making for others. Mainly my kids and maybe my husband every once in a while if my hands are not cramping from some other project.

Oh! I almost forgot to mention...for my blog give away I dreamed up something.

It's going to be an 'Oprah' of sorts...(in super mini fashion) "My Favorite Things". So...you know this is going to include a favorite brand of coffee of my own also a knitted item. No telling what else I will tuck into the USPS flat rate box.

So.. is it autumn there already?

Do knit those things? One day I knitted only one thing - a scarf for myself... I guess that was the easiest thing I could make

Anyway I still wear it... for about 5 years

Olga, It is the beginning of Autumn. (I love it)

So you made a scarf? I would love to see it...I rarely see others anywhere close in my age range that knit! Hey, 5 years is good...it means you made it well.

YES! That's what I was just telling Lonnie last night. His fear, though, is that I will look a tad African by the end of the rainy season.

I'll have to decrease the amount of time I'm in there so I can go more frequently & not get all nasty lookin' like some chicks do...all orange & leathery looking. :icky:

:shrugs: I dunno...all I know is that I don't look orange or leathery, so whew!

I didn't mean that there was anything wrong with looking African!

You know what I meant...GOSH! I'm a white girl...I ought not look like I just stepped off the boat!
