sarah's Arty Dreams

everyday life of a stay at home mom/artist

Oct.28th and 29th

Yesterday morning I took a different route while taking my daughter to school. We were lucky to end up on a higher elevation of town just the moment as the sun was coming up from the horizon. It was one of the most beautiful sites that I have seen in my life. The sun was red and heavy...peeking up slowly and after about 3 minutes came into full view. The grass plains were moving in waves as the wind pushed through. What a glorious morning!!

And THIS morning it was raining and flooding. Well...my mother is coming over...so I have to go. She is sadly stressed by my step dad's cancer and dealing with insurance and hospitals and paperwork. It's just ridiculous! irked I will be cooking some comfort food today and hoping it helps to ease some of her stress. I will try to check in on here later. God Bless.

Please give your Mom a hug from me. You don't have to tell her it's from me if you don't want...I just want to hug her! o My heart goes out to her. It can't be easy on her.

You are such a wonderful person and daughter, Cupcake! heart I think it's so nice that you're cooking some comfort food and are there for your Mom.

love

I agree! You are a thoughtful, caring person to make your mother comfort food. These situations are never easy, but I'm glad she's getting time to take a break.

How are you doing with this Sarah?

Sunrises are gorgeous aren't they?!!! God is a very advanced painter. wink

I'm sorry about yor dad's cancer..my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
You are so sweet to be taking care of your mom when she needs you most.. Cancer is a horrible thing.

Make sure you get some comfort food into yourself too!

@Karen,
You are so sweet and enduring! She is gone now, and took some chicken soup with her. (to give to my little brother who has the H1N1 virus) Poor guy. sad

We had a good visit and was on the phone with my OTHER brother in Houston. They were chatting about the treatment and several other things. I had to leave to take C back to work and go to the store (wally world) and take Angel's glasses in to be repaired. Turned out her insurance is going to pay for a whole new pair. I chose a dark color...hope she likes it. She is cute in just about anything, though. happy heart

@Lindsay, Guess what I made yesterday? Real flour tortillas! Mom looooved them and they reminded her of "old times" she said. love I am doing good, thanks for asking. Much better than last week. Last week was PMS week. lol How are YOU doing? I hope you are ok....heart

Tab, Aren't they? Do you ever pull certain kids out and spend some quality time with them? I try to make a point of doing that, or to have a 'sick' day with them and treat them to one or two of their favorite things. It makes life so sweet.
Thanks for the prayers, I told my mother that all my friends are praying for them.
heart

I'm sure she'll look precious in her new glasses! yes

It's too bad that your brother has the bug. down That totally sucks! I hope he recovers really soon. It can't be any fun AT ALL to be stuck feeling that crappy. sad

Love you lots, Cupcake...I want some soup, too! bigsmile heart

Due to a simple request, here is the repost.

Sunrise are more than beautiful, they are God's weather bell.

This catch phrase is easy to remember and based on hard science.

Red dawn, be warned
Red dusk, make no fuss

Suffice to say, the atmospheric conditions preceding a storm cause the sky to look red.

You sure do take your daughter to school early ... wink

Tab,
I forget to do things like that...but when I do, I can really tell that the girls appreciated it. They will also return the love with being extra sweet, kisses, etc. Girls are so sweet like that...they love extra attention. heart

What are your plans for today?

Cleanclean Saturday, October 31, 2009 9:19:26 PM

bigeyes Lucky you! We're blasted awake by it at around quarter past five. Blinds and curtains don't help. It's merciless!

I would love some of that sunshine right now clean....it's been rainy snd overcast for a while now here and it feels like snow is coming..

sad

Cleanclean Sunday, November 1, 2009 8:33:07 AM

Ahh ... snow. We don't get it in south-east Queensland. Never seen it. sad

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Sunday, November 1, 2009 12:06:47 PM

That's early! I think I would use black out curtains. bigsmile

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Sunday, November 1, 2009 12:08:52 PM

I should pack up my boyfriend and my kids and move to australia...Winters are very hard on my health.

Cleanclean Sunday, November 1, 2009 8:28:30 PM

Summers can be harsh here, too. 43 degrees occasionally. And very humid. Days like that it's hard to breathe. Although, the heat is drier in country areas like Winton (according to my Mum, who grew up there).

You just need to keep rugged up during winter! smile

TabTabmartel Sunday, November 1, 2009 9:42:02 PM

I just bought myself a very good pair pair of boots...to get my boyfriend off my back about me wearing runners in the winter lol. Hopefully that'll help.
