San, I'm so glad you stopped back by. My 15 year old taught herself the Chinese language. I was going to post some of her writings and was hoping you would take a peek. It will be the next post. I can't wait to see your to do list. wink

I smelled the most wonderful rose today by the way. Do you have any rose bushes? They are really popular here for some reason...lol.

I do have rose bushes, Sarah. There were two here when I bought the house, both engulfed by weird weed bushes, one by a couple of young trees. I dug out the trees, cleaned out the bushes and weeds, and the roses bloomed spectacularly this spring! One was red, the other pink.

I've "dead-headed" them both a couple of times, and they are in the process of blooming again. ("Dead-heading" means to pick all the dead blooms from the stems to allow new growth, for anybody who doesn't know that. I didn't until I heard a lady at church talking about dead-heading her roses so they could bloom again. bigsmile) Really beautiful, and they smell lovely.

Thanks for the tip on taking care of the rose bush.....I inherited one here and there was a small baby tree growing straight through it.

I asked my husband to cut the tree down and instead he took the biggest part of the rose bush, AND the tree down with his trimmer 'thingy'.

They bloomed beautifully and then all seemed to whither. I will have to take a pic of it, remove the dead blooms and see it 'rebloom'. Thanks again for the tip. smile
