Exactly! I keep telling the girls that. *sigh* they still want a dog, though and I was actually thinking about having one before we put the rabbit outside. They want one of every animal, but don't want to take care of them. lol

how sad, I would hate to get a pet just to see it die. I also hate it when people get rabbits and keep them in small cages, just to see all the 'cuteness'. If an animal isn't free to roam, then don't get one!

So...it's ok about the chicks...because maybe your mother was just trying to make your sister happy.

I remember when I was young, my grandmother (who lived on a farm) had geese and ducks, sheep, chicken and horses. (all at one time or another) I remember seeing the chicken getting their head cut off.

Ohhh I would hate that! Especially pigs...blah!

ok, we have fencing but also we watch her. she spends most of the time in a big cage.
