Laughing, Happiness, and Funny Stuff

, , , ,

Miss Kimbers mentioned in her blog post that she used to be funny at one time. I personally don't have a problem with her attitude now and have been a long time reader but it made me think! It made me think about the importance of having a light sense of humor is to your well being. Dark and gloomy is ok....FOR A WHILE. But if you are constantly in a gloomy state then I feel sorry for you. When you are ready to feel better than you will either start to smoke weed or go see a Dr. for some legal drugs. Either way, I hope you feel better soon.

Her post also made me think of getting the giggles in awkward places. The absolutely WORSE place I caught the giggles was at a funeral! It was a distant relative so no real hard feelings there. I am sure she LOVED the fact that myself, sister and daughter caught a case of the serious giggles.

I don't recall what actually got us started in the silent laughing but I do remember my grandmother 'consoling' my daughter for it to appear that she was crying!!! Hahahahah Grandma, you can be so funny sometimes! ....I miss my grandma sad Need to go have a visit.

Anyway we eventually had to excuse ourselves and retreat to the bathroom to stop laughing and clean our snotty noses. lol Wow, what a great funeral. Why can't all funerals be so joyous?

Please let me know your most horrific place that you caught the giggles!

hahahah! That made me laugh! Everyday I see ass cracks of women sitting in their low ride jeans with a hint of g-string. NASTINESS I tell you!! But funny, because...do they know that their ass crack is showing? Do they do it on purpose? Probably they latter. lol

Once my best friend and I (we were about 14) were having dinner with another friend's grandparents at his grandparents home. We were all eating, nearly done and it was so quiet in that house. Then his grandpa farted. Loud. They all kept eating like it didn't happen, but my bf and I look at each other and had to excuse ourselves because we could barely contain our laughter until we got out of the room. They probably heard us laughing anyway. right

doh

I was visiting Birr Castle with my parents. In the gardens there are many yew trees. Mom was pointing out all the different plants and trees and then eventually she pointed to one and said "That's a yew." wink
"That's not me", I replied. http://files.myopera.com/Tamil/Smilies/BigGrin2.gif -
The puns and giggles got worse and worse until my father walked off in disgust. I don't think we saw him again until we met back at the car.

I sometimes wake myself up laughing, too. But I think the weirdest place was in church. Somebody said something very serious in a talk, but the way it was said tickled me for some reason. Couldn't stop giggling.

bigsmile

That's wonderful! I love waking up laughing and hearing others laugh in their sleep. But...for some reason I compare it to a dog running in his sleep...he must really be having fun to 'run' in his sleep. lol

'Uncle Mick' (I like that one, they just keep getting better and better) Sounds like a light hearted time. It gave me a great picture of a conservative father of yours, right? bigsmile

Star, that was the holy ghost! bigsmile I just love getting the giggles in places that you would normally be so reserved. Only because life is just so long--we have to make it the best life possible. I'm sure God was blessed with your laughter. smile

There's the 'cleaner dog' story, but that's too hard to explain...

I was laughing inappropriately recently, but can't remember why. So I guess it wasn't THAT funny afterall.

Oh...I also don't think I need to see a doctor. 'Hi, doctor...I've been unfunny on my internet blog for a long time now...' haha. Well, that would be something funny to write about on my blog:D

No no no Not you....I never thought you were funny or un-funny. You are just Miss Kimbers! I don't think your organized mind is a sign of depression in anyway and that comment wasn't directed towards you. You're far from dark and gloomy. smile

You know, death can be nice sometimes. There was a very old couple here in my town and both died in the same day. I think it was really romantic. They were old, they didn't suffer, they just had to go.. I don't think it is sad.
Of course if it was someone you liked, it'd be more difficult to accept the fact of death, and if it was someone who died in a very tragic way and you know that person wasn't really supposed to die...

He wasn't really (how could you call someone who would dye his moustache green for Paddy's Day conservative?), just couldn't stand puns. His sense of humour was just different. My brother is the same way.

Just like it says in the bible, cry when a child is born an celebrate when someone passes on. We do just the opposite, don't we?

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Thursday, July 22, 2010 12:07:54 PM

Funny Mick....a green moustache!

There's this story in my mind right now. But as I'm getting close to lunch-time I prefer not to keep that picture in mind. BRB after lunch to tell, spock

Andredecaspecht Thursday, July 22, 2010 2:07:46 PM

yeah, completely the opposite smile but it is very sad when a child dies sad
