everyday life of a stay at home mom/artist

hey!

So, last week there was a rumor about the rapture taking place..and *shocker* it didn't happen. Anyway, I guess a bit of a scare for people was a good 2 million dollar joke on the old man that made it up.

Lately I have been thinking about my life and really how blessed I am to have such good friends and family surrounding me. It is difficult for me to get sad being that I am on 2 antidepressants. wink But it happens... Times are difficult, especially when you are trying to raise 4 girls on a budget. But WHO CARES? Right?? I mean, my mother and dad raised 4 kids on a budget. Love is what makes great family memories, not what you don't have! (unless you are comparing yourself to the kids next door) But usually the kids next door don't have both their mom and dad, or they have a messy house, or they have other issues. It could be anything really...no one is perfect!

My oldest daughter is now 16 and started dating a guy who lives out of town a bit. A bit means 20-30 minute drive and when you have two teens who want to see each other, this is heart wrenching. I can't just drive her out there whenever she wants to go, unfortunately. First of all, my car is not running good and I want to get it paid off before getting another one. Secondly, gas prices are through the 'effing roof. And thirdly, .......so what? right Sorry, but when I was a teen without a car and I wanted to get somewhere, I effing' walked! There were no SUV's that were going to tote my ass around. I damn sure didn't have a mom who could take off work just to suit my needs of where I wanted to go. Umm NO. i HAD TO WALK. And I didn't ask my teen daughter to date someone who lived out of town for shit's sake! All the time, she is whining about how she wants to go see him. SHUT UP and get a job girlfriend!!!

Anyway, I'm done with that...so yeah. And 2 of my girls are going to stay with their grandmother this summer. It is partly tradition and partly because it's freakin' awesome that they can go and get a break from their other 2 evil sisters and have some quiet and happiness. But it was weird, Angel, one of the twins actually was acting sad about leaving me. bigeyes It was so weird...she usually *never* has a regret about leaving. Mmmm guess I have been in a better mood lately or she would be all "See ya wouldn't wanna be ya biotches!" But yesterday she was giving me a hug that was crushing the breath out of my chest and I told her to kill me faster, LOL. I said, "Angel, I can't slowly die this way, just take all my breath" She got a kick out of that because she is sort of morbid thinking like me....yey!

BUttttttttttt yeah. I will miss that little chica. And Angela too, of course. For all you nosey sobs, that is her twin. Yeah. Whoa...I am in a mood! Thank God I have this blog to take out all my feelings on and not the kids. OR do I? bigeyes Just kiddin', I don't torture them like I used to. Poor kids are probably scarred for life. But now they are old enough to talk back and say "WHATEVER MOM!" And so I am forced to be ignored. *cry*

Well I can't really think of anything else to rant about so see ya. Man I am HAPPY! Trust me, if you are feeling down..get ya some antidepressants. (with a certified dr's script, duah) and it will help your crazy depressed ass.

Until later,
ciao!
Sarah

you know what's funny? New baby in the family...

If I am not mistaken, the Bible has many significant numbers, usually with a symbolic meaning. But I am fairly certain that God never uses numerology for ANY prophetic predictions, yes? One time God predicted an event using numbers (the release of the Israelites from Babylon - 70 years), He spelled out EXACTLY when this event was to occur. No mathematical calculations or speculations were needed. To me it seems this whole event is just a ruse of Satan to bring dishonour upon the real people of God. Compared to the technology of 1994, the shame can be viral in a matter of hours.... *sigh*

Pass a couple pills this way, will ya? I have to get whas-is-name outta my head...

I wasn't scared about Judgement Day. I even forgot to hold my breath at 6pm!!p

Does your daughter's boyfriend ever visit her at home, or does she always have to go and see him? I hope he makes some effort too. But....if I look at what happened to people I know, the boyfriend at 16 doesn't last too long:|

agreed. False profits, the whole deal...isn't that a 'sign' of end times, though? When are end times? Appears as if End Times have been happening since the beginning of time.

Ah well at least you have saved petrol in the past:) 16 is so young to have a boyfriend. My cousin turned 16 yesterday. I can't imagine her having a boyfriend. She's so little!!smile What does one do at 16 when they have a boyfriend/girlfriend? 'My mum says you can come over to watch tv' 'my mum says we're too old to walk down the street' 'my mum says we can eat some cake'. I don't know, I never had a boyfriend....at 16....p

G, Mmm well they text eachother and do the facebook posting of pics , etc. Really they have fun together, go out to eat, go to movies. Ya know date. Really you didn't date at 16? I don't know I guess it's just much different here with some kids. She has a few friends that are even pregnant. I really disagree with that. sad I hope to God I never have to deal with something of that magnitude.

galadriel Sunday, May 29, 2011 5:54:23 AM

No, no boys were interested in me. I think I still thought boys had germs at 16! I don't understand why children would date. The pregnancy thing proves it. They're too young and don't know what they are doing.

Pineas2 Monday, May 30, 2011 6:06:06 AM

Well, I started dating when I was twenty. I was never good it.
