Chicken Pot Pie

Lately I have been taking care of my grandmother and one thing I enjoy doing while I am there is cooking. Today I made her a chicken pot pie from scratch.

I boiled the chicken with onions and seasonings and added the vegetables.

:star:I reserved some of the chicken broth and made a gravy, added the chicken and vegetables.

I made the topping and couldn't find a rolling pin so had to flatten it out with my hands.

:star:I added the crust to the top, and sort of pasted it together.

:star:This is the finished product.Grandma and I had alittle taste test and it was delicious comfort food!

I know I am not on Opera enough! I knew that after the kids started school I would be able to get on and blog more.

I have a nice Teflon-surfaced rolling pin right here. You could have called to ask if you could borrow it (for a taste, I would have let you keep it).
