Working on baby things

Rachael had a 3D sonogram done, courtesy of her 'mother in law', Jennine. We were all in the room watching the baby on screen and crying at joy that it is going to be a boy. I wasn't sure if my family was able to produce boys...so this was a true shocker! Thank God it wasn't twins, I am grateful of that!
This picture isn't really clear because he was still so small at the time...but it gives an idea!
The baby is growing in her belly more day by day. Sometimes I sing to him and he kicks around (hopefully with joy)
I feel him moving and see her growing and at times feel sorry for her being in this position at this age.
We are moving forward, though, with the best of thoughts and intentions and clearing our mind of the negative.
Why dwell on what 'should have been'? I've never had a boy, so maybe I will adopt him as my own and let her live her life? Mmmm I just don't know yet. My husband doesn't have a strong opinion of it one way or the other. Now all the focus is on the boy and how he is going to turn out. I can't believe it!!! A boy....
His name is Syair Major Bell-Peters. Sound like a good name to you guys? I love the Syair part, it means poetry. Major is named after her love for the military, although her boyfriend didn't like the idea because his last girlfriend also loved that name.
Too bad!
Her boyfriend, Stephen, has turned out so far to be loving and caring tall gentle giant to her and I think he has the best of intentions for my daughter. I thank God that he is in her life, and not some thug...although...at times I think he might have some thuggish ways.
It's just my paranoia.
I started working on the first pair of baby booties that I have ever made...and knit nonetheless.
One down and one to go...or many to go...this was an easy project.

Nice name. Boys can be a handful, but they're most definitely worth it. And I have a feeling he's going to be a superstar in your family.
