A Great Weekend
Monday, July 1, 2013 3:06:42 AM
This weekend was relaxing and nice for a change. The girls were here off and on and on a rare on I took the opportunity to snap their pictures.
It was so weird to direct these grown children to line up and get in place. I felt like they were 2,3 and 4 years old again. But one thing is for sure, I don't miss them being little!
I love having time to myself to sew, scrapbook, make things, cook. It's nice, ya know? Please excuse any typing errors, it's late.
So I think on Saturday, most of the day was spent with my oldest shopping. We really had a great time and a nice visit. At lunch, we sat in Subway with mostly men sitting alone while their wives shopped, I suppose. They were reading the paper, eating sandwiches and quietly watching people walk by. Rae and I joined the men at our own table and I picked up the paper and quickly scanned through it.
Rae spotted a grasshopper on the side of a cart, and was sort of fixed on it for a good 5 minutes until it fell off and got mushed under a wheel of a shopping cart! She was so dismayed that her hands flew up to her flushed cheeks and she sort of let out a groan.
Poor girl was really rooting for that grasshopper to land on someone and scare them. I tried to console her by letting her know there were many more to take his place. (Although, this year I haven't seen grasshoppers so much...unlike past years)
Noticing that the store is *already* putting bathing suits on sale and pushing in fall items we decided to pick her up a new one. It is adorable! Red with some gathering around the stomach. Very classic style, modest but a little sexy. I loved it and was encouraging her to love her youthful figure!
I am actually excited this year to shop for school clothes. Unlike other years, this year is going to be full of beautiful flowing tops and girly soft colors! I love it! We have also found a few shopping sites online that I hope do us right and send the clothes! (fingers crossed) No one has money to burn...so I'm hoping for the best.
Today my little Syair was over
. He is getting so tall and is only 17 months old! I don't know what I will do when he is 6 feet or taller and hugging me!
Syair melts me with those big brown eyes and always wanting me to hold him. Now he wraps his sweet arms around my neck and gives me kisses. Do you know that really pulls at my heart strings? I love my little grandson....
Rae and her husband (= are doing good. Marriage is tough, so I congratulate them.
More later,
Sarah
