Yesterday I met a parent of one of the girls that my daughter plays sports with. He is a single father to two very cute little girls, one having this gorgeous orange red hair and the other with long dark hair, both with freckles. They were two of the most adorable little things and made me wonder how a mother could walk away from them. I don’t know all the circumstance about the divorce, nor do I care, but I just want to give this man a pat on the back for stepping up to raise his children. I know there is a plethora of single fathers out there, normally not thought about. If you know a single father, pat him on the back and tell him thanks. They need our support just as single moms do.

I have to talk about losing my cousin this week. His name is Gabriel and he was only 32 years old. They are still trying to figure out the cause, but he did have diabetes. I wasn't extremely close with my cousins, but I remember knowing them along the way in life, especially as a child....God rest his soul, he was such a sweet person....
