Doesn't it feel wonderful when you wake up to a new day, feeling strong and positive?

I am praying the feeling last.

Saturday was spent shopping early in the day only spending 70.00 for groceries for the week. And after we were home for a bit, I loaded up the girls and went to visit mom. We sat on her couch and chatted as the girls played with the baby kittens and ran in and outside. The weather was perfect again so after leaving mom's I took the girls for a ride. We explored downtown and I showed them the 'world's smallest skyscraper' that is now an antique shop. YES! It is right here in this town! They laughed at the story and enjoyed the 'tour of their own town' and we went home.

Yesterday was spent hanging out with my family early in the day and my daughter for the later half. I pretty much ignored everyone else and concentrated on my 13 year old and her hilarious addiction to finding perfect outfits for the week of school.

Her grades are good, so I figured, why not? We went through each piece of clothing in her closet. I found pieces that still had the tag on them! I demanded that she stop asking for new clothes and to wear the ones she has already! (but in a sweet mothering way) She agreed and actually wore a new pair of pants this morning with a shirt that I picked out. We also watched Jackie Chan's First Strike and had some fig newtons.

It's amusing...Saturday she went to the mall with friends and ran into my sister who works in a clothing store. My daughter found a dress that she [just had to have] and my sister put it in lay-a-way for her! I thought that was so sweet of Meg. My little sister is like fashion diva and I am like [comfortable].
