Evolving

After a conversation with a friend of mine, I was inspired to write this poem. You can translate it how you want to, but it is really about a women who tried to please others around her but failing to achieve what the main goal was in the first place, to attain love and attention.

Evolving
Long, long dark hair
Don’t you even care?
For 4 years now never
cut because he wanted
it to her butt.....
So to her butt the tresses
began just to make him
content again.
But content again he never
became, (because of something
truly lame) The hair was
not the answer.
“Attention!” She screamed internally.
“Attention!” Just to exist
and be let be......
A circular track similar to a maze
looped her mind around
in a daze......
She never figured what floated
his boat,
instead she only sank into
her own personal moat.
In the future
after the rain has
come down gently......
She’ll be over the spell
of him ‘loving’ her intently.
