Can Cold Water Clean Dishes?
This is for all the germ conscious folks that worry about using cold water to clean.
John went to visit his 90 year old grandfather in a very secluded, rural area of Georgia .
After spending a great evening chatting the night away, John's grandfather prepared breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast. However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate, and questioned his grandfather asking, "Are these plates clean?"
His grandfather replied, "They're as clean as cold water can get them. Just you go ahead and finish your meal, Sonny!"
For lunch the old man made hamburgers. Again, John was concerned about the plates as his appeared to have tiny specks around the edge that looked like dried egg and asked, "Are you sure these plates are clean?"
Without looking up the old man said, "I told you before, Sonny, those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them. Now don't you fret, I don't want to hear another word about it!"
Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby town and as he was leaving, his grandfather's dog started to growl, and wouldn't let him pass. John yelled and said, "Grandfather, your dog w on't let me get to my car."
Without diverting his attention from the football game he was watching on TV, the old man shouted..."COLDWATER, GO LAY DOWN!!!!"

Actually, that is why I read it as well. ....I really wanted to know
if I could wash dishes in cold water!
Now I still don't know!

I remember letting the dog lick the plate when I was
a child, but now that is something that I would never
do, but I am sure that my children would.

I do a lot of dishes at home and this reminds me that instead of rinsing the plates before placing them in the dishwasher, I save water by letting Murphy lick 'em.
Works well and they do get warshed with hot water.

I cleaned my dishes at the army with cold water, but this coldwater is really better and it's easier

I always clean things with cold water-the hot water tap in the kitchen takes too long to warm up-wouldn't want to waste water!
My uncle is always going on about how dogs are clean animals. He says the best thing to do if you cut yourself is to get a dog to lick it....apparantly they have 'disinfectant' things on their tongues. That's why they can eat bones that have soil and bugs all over them without getting sick.... I don't listen to him though hehe.
Oh loving the new picture of the tree up the top too!

Just as they are trying to replace gas, maybe one day we will be
looking for ways to replace water...?
