Everyone needs to buy biodegradable dryer sheets

, , , , , , , , , , ,

[/IMG]Good morning all! Why am I writing a post about biodegradable dryer sheets? Because I want to impress how lucky I feel to actually be able to go to the store, buy the dryer sheets, come home to an air conditioned home, add the clothes to the washer, put them in the dryer...with the biodegradable sheets. I am directing this post to those who 'HAVE' and not the HAVE NOTS. The 'have nots' sadly know what they don't have. The 'haves' sadly DON'T KNOW what they have and that kinda pisses me off.

Still the 'haves' complain.

Still they whine.

Still they whimper about what is going wrong. Suck it up you fed by the silver spoon people.

I thank God everyday for what I have....I know how it is in the world...why doesn't everyone see this? I am not blind to the fact that there is a unquantified, bona fide, terrorized group of liars in the *Casa Blanco!

Come on now.

sad

We are poor according to the governments standards. But according to 'research' our class of people hold the most spending power. HUH? Ok yes, I get it...instead of buying houses and business we buy Sean John and shop at the Gap. I get it.

Moving on......buy biodegradable....because like other wealthy countries here in the world...we throw away too many things that are going to be in a landfill long after your selfish ass is dead. Along with all those water bottles that people are throwing away. It is a billion dollar industry, yaknow? You didn't know did you? bigeyes Well, it's true. When you buy a bottle of water, you are drinking from a lake that is not in your state! lol Drink your own water stupid consumers. Do you think because it says "FIJI" on the label that means that you are doing something good for your body??? What about the people in Fiji that don't have clean drinking water??? irked

Could you send them some of their water to drink? confused

You're right!!! Whether we believe in global warming or not, one thing it has done is to raise some awareness about recycling and conservation, which is definately a good thing. I know I've been much more concious of it in the last year or so.
We really need to think what legacy we are leaving our children and grandchildren, it's our choice if we leave them a beautiful, clean and productive planet or a garbage dump!
It's so nice that you appreciate the little things like dryer sheets. Biodegradable as well!! :D When my kids were little I couldn't afford any kind of fabric softner and the clothes went out on the clothes line and came in stiff as rocks! You can bet I appreciate every drop of Downy that goes into my laundry today!!!! Maybe we have to suffer a little in order to appreciate all those little things.
Wonderful post!

Good roaring, Sarah. These things need to be said - again!

I think if everyone did a little something, it would help in the long run.

I went from a gas-guzzling 4x4 to a Toyota. I save gas and money too. It's a win/win situation.

Good post!!

You buy biodegradable dryer sheets but spend energy on a dryer (I have a rope in the garden) and an air condition? (OK, I know that quite nobody can live without an ac at your area.)

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Friday, July 20, 2007 10:12:13 AM

I want a 'clothes line' as well. sad I don't have one yet and the husband doesn't build things like that. But maybe someday. Oh yes, the air condition is a blessing, let me tell you!

They make us pay for that energy! sad Overly high prices. The rope is starting to sound better and better. bigeyes

CherylDuckyChickenLady Friday, July 20, 2007 12:45:21 PM

You go girl!!
When I lived in Rockland..(1 & 1/2 hours east of where I am now)
...We had a clothes line.
Here...I don't want one. The bugs are awful outside..and the dust! bigeyes I don't want to wash my clothes only to see them get dirty again.
Not to mention the rain.. lol It never ends!

Anyhow...I think we should all do our part...yet I have to agree with your post. It's frustrating.
I have a small AC in my kitchen. On the very hot days, when I bake...I turn it on.
It saves us all! knockout
Anyhow...I think it's great to think about ways we can do better...up

Good! Do you recycle? I don't enough. sad

Redshigen Friday, July 20, 2007 1:16:50 PM

I try my best... Except if I have a smelly box, like for pizza, then I just throw it away to keep the bugs, and other small rodents out of my house. happy bigsmile

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Friday, July 20, 2007 2:55:56 PM

Oh yeah true! Well, they have containers that can be set outside with a sealed lid...but we don't even have that! hahah

Redshigen Friday, July 20, 2007 3:10:01 PM

Yeah, all that I have is one bin for returnable, and another for everything else... they stay in my basement.

Redshigen Friday, July 20, 2007 3:11:33 PM

Oh! I have been trying to use my airconditioner and fan less, too. upsmile

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Friday, July 20, 2007 3:11:50 PM

Sweet!

Redshigen Friday, July 20, 2007 3:13:20 PM

Have you heard of "phantom loads"? Things like TV, stereos, and cell phone chargers use up electricity, even when they are "off". I also unplug those. angel

wink

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Friday, July 20, 2007 6:49:19 PM

Yes, and I am sooo bad at not turning those off! worried

Redshigen Friday, July 20, 2007 6:57:21 PM

I don't really mind heat. ...And I usually dress in black or other dark colors, to boot. lol bigsmile

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Friday, July 20, 2007 6:59:24 PM

I guess it doesn't get really hot where you live...? Here in Texas...we have to have air! Either that or have a heat stroke@ faint

Redshigen Friday, July 20, 2007 7:01:45 PM

Haha! I have some cousins who live down there. I am not going to say where I live, but I DID take a vacation to Palm Springs... BLACK CLOTHES EVERYDAY for TWO WEEKS, in 120' weather~! pbigsmile lol Yeah, I'm probably the epitomy of stupid, over here! Haha!! bigsmilebigsmilebigsmile

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Friday, July 20, 2007 8:16:48 PM

crazy ass! lol

Loiscakkleberrylane Friday, July 20, 2007 10:05:27 PM

I have a clothes line, but the laundry has to get out early so it dries before the late afternoon rain. If I time it right, it works!

Redshigen Saturday, July 21, 2007 1:22:45 AM

Yay! Clothesline~! Woot~! And, yes, I am a crazy-ass~! p

Lois...Years ago, I lived in a tiny duplex with my husband, oldest daughter (who was about 3 at the time) and the twins (18 mths). It only had 2 bedrooms and a small living room and kitchen. In the kitchen there was just enough room for a round dining table and portable dishwasher. sad God, looking back almost makes me want to cry....anyway, both DH (dear hubby) and I worked ...him 2 jobs and me 1 on the weekend. This is one place that we wanted to leave as quickly as possible. Anyway, there was room in the kitchen for a washer, but no dryer. So thank God there was a wonderful clothes line in the back yard with 2 lines on it! Talk about 'feeling grateful' lol

I understand the rain issue. I was almost traumatized if it had been raining for a few days without a break...because I hated hauling everyone to the laundry mat.

This is why I am so grateful for what I have now. In the year coming up, we are making plans on purchasing a home...*sigh we just started way too early with kids...

MarcusFXM256 Saturday, July 21, 2007 4:40:53 PM

Like Alfred E. Newman's (from MAD Magazine) motto, "What, me worry?"

Redshigen Sunday, July 22, 2007 11:17:48 PM

I'm pretty relaxed. At elast for the most part, haha! lol smile

MarcusFXM256 Monday, July 23, 2007 2:55:16 AM

I remember growing up we didn't have a washing machine or dryer, but we did have a clothesline. There was a corner laundromat that we'd wash our clothes in. Then we would take them back and hang them on the clothesline out back.

Redshigen Monday, July 23, 2007 10:47:18 PM

Woah, cool~! cool that's a really good practice becuase then only one place is using up all of the energy. upbigsmile

Sarah Dreamsangel292005 Tuesday, July 24, 2007 1:00:51 AM

I agree. smile

Redshigen Wednesday, July 25, 2007 1:08:09 PM

Woot! I would use a laundramat, but I have no car, haha!

Anonymous writes: Just don't use dryer sheets. They are hard on your dryer. They will destroy your front gasket. Liquid softener is better for your dryaer, works better, and won't build up on clothes.

Really? I use both! o
